Fans can look forward to Season 3 of Jujutsu Kaisen in January 2026. Before the new season starts, MAPPA released a movie called Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution which combines a recap of the Shibuya Incident Arc with the first two episodes of Season 3. The movie premiered in Japan on November 7th, 2025, and has since been released internationally. As a special treat for Japanese moviegoers, a 24-page booklet detailing the events leading up to the Shibuya Incident Arc is being given out. Unfortunately, this gift is currently only available to fans in Japan, and it’s unclear if it will be offered to international audiences.
The booklet will also feature interviews with the actors who voiced Yuji Itadori (Junya Enoki) and Kenjaku/Suguru Geto (Takahiro Sakurai). Plus, it’ll include a lot of behind-the-scenes art from the Culling Game Arc, like original sketches, animation cels, character designs, color palettes, and art settings. These bonus items are available with the standard, IMAX, 4DX, and MX4D versions of the film, and the specific items may differ depending on the theater.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Will Feature the Aftermath of the Shibuya Incident Arc

The Shibuya Incident is easily the most intense and devastating arc in the anime, and unfortunately, things are only going to get worse. This is where the villain, Kenjaku, begins enacting his plan, trapping the incredibly powerful Satoru Gojo in a special barrier called the Prison Realm. Meanwhile, powerful curses cause widespread destruction and senseless deaths in Shibuya. Gojo’s sudden disappearance forces the remaining sorcerers to fight, leading to heavy losses on both sides. Before the story moves on to the Culling Game, we’ll see the aftermath of the Shibuya Incident in the Itadori’s Extermination and Perfect Preparation arcs. The Itadori’s Extermination arc will be covered in the first two episodes of Season 3.
The upcoming episodes will showcase a fierce battle between Yuta Okkotsu and Yuji Itadori. We’ll learn why Yuta made his promise to the elders, and see his motivations for targeting Yuji after Toge Inumaki was hurt. This arc will also focus on Maki Zenin and her confrontation with the Zenin Clan. Following the events of the Shibuya Incident, the world of Jujutsu is now in turmoil and has been significantly altered.
Gojo remains imprisoned, and his students are still working to find a way to rescue him. The upcoming Culling Game Arc will fully expose Kenjaku’s schemes and will be released in two parts. You can watch the first two seasons and the prequel movie on Crunchyroll and Netflix. Plus, the newest movie will be released in the U.S. on December 5th, 2025, so be sure to get your tickets when they become available!
