I’ve noticed that Jujutsu Kaisen has been finished for over a year now, and it’s becoming more accessible to read. They’re still printing more copies of the manga, though, because not all the English translations are out yet. While we’re all waiting for those final volumes, even more special editions have been announced. The official X account for the series just revealed that a remix edition will start being sold on January 9th, 2026.
This special edition of Jujutsu Kaisen will collect the entire 30-volume series into 13 larger books, with each volume including more chapters than the original releases. The first book comes out this Friday, and the remaining 12 will be released weekly over the next three months. This new format aims to make the manga easier and cheaper to read. Currently, these editions are only available in Japanese for fans outside of Japan.
Jujutsu Kaisen Releases a Remix Version of the Manga, But Only in Japanese for Now
A remix version of “Jujutsu Kaisen” will be available nationwide at convenience stores and select bookstores starting January 9th. This remix presents a re-edited, easy-to-follow version of the story, and features completely new cover art with exclusive illustrations. The entire story, spanning 13 volumes, will be released bi-weekly.

The updated manga version will initially only be available in Japanese, largely because the English translations for the last two volumes are still forthcoming. Volume 29, the second-to-last book, is scheduled for English release on February 17, 2026. Considering the three-month gap between releases, the final English volume should be out by May 2026. While fans are hoping for news about an English remix version after that, it doesn’t seem likely to be available for at least two years.
Although complete collections of the manga are planned for the future – usually after all the volumes are out – it will still take many months, or even years, before they’re available in English in Western countries. Right now, Western fans who want to read Jujutsu Kaisen can enjoy the remix edition, which is cheaper, includes special cover art, and has the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 chapters in Volume 4. However, they’ll still have to wait for the official English release. While this is frustrating, fans can be happy that all the volumes will eventually be translated, and the anime is doing well with Season 3 currently on air.
