Please be aware that this article contains spoilers from the Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo manga! The new sequel manga, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, created by Gege Akutami and Yuji Iwasaki, is set 68 years after the events of the Culling Game. It also reveals what happened to Yuji Itadori, the main character from the original series. After consuming the Death Paintings to gain power, Yuji suffered a significant consequence: he stopped aging. As a result, he’s become incredibly strong over the decades. While not immortal, Yuji’s lifespan has been greatly extended – he reveals he has around 300 years left. Driven by his grandfather’s final wish, Yuji always strives to help others, hoping to be surrounded by friends when his time finally comes.
Over the decades, Yuji watched most of his friends age and pass away, while he remained unchanged. Overwhelmed by the grief of these losses, he cut ties with Nobara Kugisaki and went into hiding. He reappeared during the climactic battle, teaming up with Maru to defeat the cursed spirits plaguing Japan. Despite the manga nearing its conclusion, the source of his powers remains a mystery.
Jujutsu Kaisen Still Doesn’t Have a Name For Yuji’s Domain Expansion

In the Shinjuku Showdown arc of the manga, Yuji was key to winning the fight against Ryomen Sukuna. He used his recently developed abilities, including a powerful Domain Expansion, to deliver the final blow. The series didn’t reveal the name or specifics of this technique, though. Later in the story, Yuji’s power continues to grow rapidly, potentially making him as strong as Satoru Gojo or even Ryomen Sukuna himself.
Yuji took down Mahito with a single, effortless blow, hinting at the immense power he holds. However, because Yuji has chosen to stay out of the central conflict, it’s unlikely he’ll face an opponent strong enough to push him to his full potential. This could mean that even as the story nears its end, we might never see the full extent of his abilities, including the reveal of his unique domain.
In the series, special abilities called Domain Expansions are activated using specific hand gestures, and each one reflects the character’s personality. The author, Gege Akutami, may have chosen not to reveal the name of Yuji’s Domain Expansion to highlight his individual development, rather than portraying him as just a tool. However, keeping the name and details of Yuji’s strongest technique a secret can be frustrating for viewers, especially after so much anticipation built throughout the story.
