Jujutsu Kaisen Returns With a Brand New Release Ahead of Season 4

Following a thrilling season earlier this year, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 ended with a surprising cliffhanger and many unanswered questions. The story picks up after the dramatic events of the Shibuya Incident, showing the fallout from the intense Halloween battle. Season 3 covered the Extermination and Perfect Preparation Arcs, then moved into the Culling Games – a deadly battle royale masterminded by the villain Kenjaku, who also caused the Shibuya Incident. This Culling Game will be split into two parts, and the anime will finish it in Season 4 before starting the final story arc.

Though Season 3 just finished a little over two months ago, MAPPA, the animation studio behind it, is already teasing news about what’s next. As part of their 15th-anniversary celebration, they’ll be sharing updates on upcoming projects, including the highly popular anime, Jujutsu Kaisen. A recent post on the anime’s official X (formerly Twitter) account hinted at exciting news about its return.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4 Will Unveil New Information in June 2026

On June 19th, 2026, MAPPA is holding a Jujutsu Talk Special Edition, which will be divided into two parts. Junya Enoki, the voice behind Yuji Itadori, and Megumi Ogata, who voices Yuta Okkotsu, will be in attendance during the event. The live program will be divided into two parts, with the first one scheduled for the MAPPA Lineup Announcement Event. The official X handle specifically confirmed that the anime will reveal new updates on the fourth season.

The second half of the event will be streamed on the TOHO animation YouTube channel once the main event finishes. Both parts of the event will also be released as audio podcasts on Spotify, though only in Japanese. This update marks a significant milestone for MAPPA, who launched an anniversary website and unveiled a new logo earlier this year in March.

MAPPA has announced that updates on current and future projects, including popular series like Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, Attack on Titan, and Dorohedoro, will be shared on their official YouTube channel. In addition, they’re planning an exhibition in cities throughout Japan, and will be releasing new merchandise featuring specially created artwork to celebrate.
