Jujutsu Kaisen Reveals Season 3 Release Date

The anime Jujutsu Kaisen has become incredibly popular, and fans are eagerly awaiting its return. Following the dramatic events of the Shibuya Incident, Yuji Itadori is now a fugitive, with shifting alliances between friends and foes. Yuta Okkotsu, a character from Jujutsu Kaisen 0, is tasked with hunting down Yuji, and their conflict will be central to the upcoming ‘Culling Game’ storyline. The third season was previously announced for January, and now we have a confirmed release date for Yuji’s story.

The third season of Jujutsu Kaisen will premiere on January 8th, and new episodes will be available on Crunchyroll at the same time as they air in Japan. Fans can even get a sneak peek with Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution, a compilation film coming to theaters next month. This film won’t just recap past events – it will include the first three episodes of the upcoming season. Given the cliffhanger ending of the last season, many anime fans are planning to see it in theaters to be among the first to experience the start of the Culling Game Arc.

Get ready for Part 3 of the TV anime “Jujutsu Kaisen”! A new teaser visual has been released, and the premiere date is set! Watch Yuji Itadori and Yuta Okkotsu battle it out as the “Cursed Technique Overload” arc begins.

The anime will premiere on January 8, 2026, airing every Thursday at midnight (12:26 AM JST) on MBS/TBS and 28 affiliated stations as part of the Super Animeism block.

When Last We Left Jujutsu Tech

The Shibuya Incident was a truly damaging event for everyone involved, both heroes and villains. Suguru Geto was the only one who really got what he wanted, using the city’s quarantine to start his own tournament of powerful cursed energy users. Yuji Itadori survived, but is now ostracized from Jujutsu Tech because of the destruction caused by Sukuna. Although Yuta Okkotsu tried to eliminate him, Yuji is now being supported by his newly discovered brother, Choso. It’s clear the hero is forming unlikely alliances as he prepares for a comeback in 2026.

We don’t have a confirmed number of episodes for the third season yet, but looking at the first two seasons gives us a good estimate. Season one had twenty-four episodes, and season two had twenty-three, so we can expect the third season to be around that length. Given everything that happens in the Culling Game storyline, the anime will likely need a substantial number of episodes to fully cover Yuji’s dangerous new adventure.

While the third season of Jujutsu Kaisen isn’t officially the end, it could be the second-to-last, considering how the original manga concluded. The manga finished its run last year, and although a new series has started in Weekly Shonen Jump, it will likely be a long wait before the Modulo arc gets adapted into animation.
