The anime series Jujutsu Kaisen is currently airing its third season as part of the Winter 2026 lineup, and a preview of Episode 4 has just been released. Jujutsu Kaisen: The Culling Game Part 1 continues the story after the intense events of the Shibuya Incident from the previous season, and the first few episodes are focused on preparing Yuji Itadori and other remaining sorcerers for the challenges ahead. However, some final preparations are still needed before the main action begins.
The recent episode of Jujutsu Kaisen explained the complex rules of the upcoming Culling Game tournament. Now, the characters are splitting up to prepare for the fights. The most interesting development is Maki’s decision to head to the Zenin Clan to collect powerful Cursed Tools. How to Watch Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Episode 4
I’m so excited for the next episode of Jujutsu Kaisen: The Culling Game Part 1! Episode 4 drops on Thursday, January 22nd, and Crunchyroll will be streaming it for those of us outside of Japan – that’s basically everywhere including North and South America, Europe, and even places like India and Southeast Asia, at 8:30 AM PT. From what I’ve seen on the official website, this episode is going to be all about Maki as she goes after the Cursed Tools at the Zenin Clan’s hideout. It looks intense!
I’m so excited for the next episode! Word on the street is it’s going to be longer than usual – a full 28 minutes, which is four extra minutes to soak it all in. Apparently, there’s a really significant arc in the manga focusing on Maki and a tough situation she faces, and it looks like the anime is planning to cover that whole thing in this one episode. If that’s true, fans are in for a real treat – it’s going to be huge!
What’s Next for Maki in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3?
Though the third season of Jujutsu Kaisen is underway, the main event – the Culling Game – hasn’t started yet. An upcoming episode will be incredibly impactful for Maki, arguably even more so than her harrowing experience during the Shibuya Incident. What makes this even more surprising is that all of this is happening before the Culling Game battles actually begin.
Yuji and his friends are working on a plan to defeat Kenjaku, free Satoru Gojo from the Prison Realm, and save Megumi’s sister, all while navigating the challenges of the Culling Game. Expect a lot to happen with Maki, so fans won’t want to miss seeing how she handles everything.
