Jujutsu Kaisen to Host Early Season 3 Premiere With IMAX
GKIDS is bringing Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution to IMAX! Fans can get a sneak peek at the movie with a special event on December 3rd, two days before its official release on December 5th. This exclusive showing will happen only once on 100 IMAX screens across the U.S., so fans should grab their tickets quickly. The film will then be available in theaters nationwide shortly after.
The movie Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution will be shown with audio in both Japanese and English. It includes a reminder of what happened in the Shibuya Incident, but the biggest treat is that it also features the first two episodes of the show’s upcoming third season. Luckily, fans who can’t make it to the movie won’t have to wait long to see the new season on TV, as it will be released worldwide soon after.
When Does Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Come Out?
The third season of Jujutsu Kaisen, officially titled Culling Game Part 1, is scheduled to premiere in Japan in January 2026 as part of the Winter anime lineup. While a specific release date hasn’t been announced yet, Crunchyroll has confirmed it will stream new episodes as they become available in Japan. The Culling Game is a major story arc in Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen manga, building towards the series’ climax. After this arc, the story becomes a non-stop series of intense battles as Yuji Itadori and the remaining sorcerers—along with new characters on both sides—fight in a dangerous tournament to prevent Kenjaku from destroying the world.
