At last, we can start looking forward to Season 3 of Jujutsu Kaisen, as the release schedule has been officially announced!
In a live-streamed celebration marking its fifth anniversary, Crunchyroll announced that season 3 of Jujutsu Kaisen, titled “Jujutsu Kaisen: The Culling Game”, will be airing in January 2026. This season will be based on the same-named manga.
At the very latest, we won’t have to wait beyond January for the new season, with a maximum wait of five more months.
As a keen observer, I can confirm that each episode is scheduled to release weekly on Crunchyroll, synced with their initial Japanese airing. To quench our anticipation, the streaming platform has even unveiled a captivating teaser trailer.
In the troubling preview, Yuji Itadori is depicted struggling with deep sorrow, following his belief that he was responsible for numerous lives lost during the Shibuya Incident. Additionally, it hints at a tense encounter between Yūjū and Yuta.
We also get a glimpse of Maki, Yuki, and Choso.
In the manga, the Culling Game arc is a brutal act of jujutsu terrorism, enacted by Kenjaku.
In the upcoming season 3, Shota Goshozono takes on the director’s role, while Hiroshi Seko manages the series composition and scriptwriting. Yosuke Yajima and Hiromi Niwa are responsible for creating the unique character designs.
Season 3 has been a long time coming, with season 2 airing in December 2023.

Overall, the anime adaptation from manga author Gege Akutami has been incredibly popular, claiming the title of Anime of the Year at the Crunchyroll Awards not just once, but twice – in 2021 and 2024.
