Jujutsu Kaisen Sequel Just Teased the Biggest Fight Yet

Please be aware that this article contains spoilers from the Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo manga. The situation in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo gets even worse after Chapter 13. The sudden arrival of over 50,000 Simurians – an alien race possessing powers similar to jujutsu sorcerers – has thrown the jujutsu world into turmoil. These aliens intend to make Japan their new home, but sorcerers worry this could lead to conflict. Given the massive number of Simurians, sorcerers would be severely outmatched in a fight. Therefore, both sides are trying to find common ground and reach a peaceful agreement.

Peace between sorcerers and Simurians seemed possible, but a miscommunication led to conflict. Cross tried to mediate, but was fatally shot by a sorcerer named Yakumaru, who claimed Cross was reaching for his sword – a claim that proved false. With tensions rising, the story hints at a large-scale battle that will determine the future of the jujutsu world.

Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Sets Up a Duel Between Dabura and Yuka

With Cross nearing death, tensions between the sorcerers and Simurians are rapidly worsening. Dabura takes revenge on Yakumaru for harming Cross, and Usami is accidentally hurt in the process. The Simurians then create a rule forbidding sorcerers from killing cursed spirits – a rule the sorcerers strongly oppose. The Simurians see these spirits as curses, similar to ones from their own history, and empathize with them, leading to this new law. Though responsible for Cross’s critical injuries, the sorcerers outwardly attempt to follow the rule.

It didn’t take long – less than a month, actually – before Dabura called out one of the sorcerers for breaking the rules, leading to a duel. The Jujutsu society is still searching for Yuji Itadori without success, so they’ve sent Yuka Okkotsu to fight Dabura. We only got a quick look at Dabura’s abilities in Chapter 13, but it was enough to show just how scary he is. Even just being near him was enough to paralyze the sorcerers with fear, and that was clearly only a small part of his power.

Yuka is the granddaughter of Yuta Okkotsu, a very strong sorcerer who played a key role in defeating Sukuna and Kenjaku. So far in the story, we’ve only seen battles against weaker opponents. This upcoming fight will finally showcase the full power of the main characters. Chapter 14, where the fight begins, will be released on December 7th on the official Manga Plus app.
