Jujutsu Kaisen Star Shares Biggest Concern For Yuji in Season 3

The new movie, Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution, came out in U.S. theaters this week and is already proving to be very popular. It’s designed to build excitement for the next part of the anime series and includes a recap of the intense Shibuya Incident, along with the first two episodes of Season 3. The film picks up after the devastating events of the Shibuya Incident, which caused many deaths among both ordinary people and powerful sorcerers. Gojo Satoru intervened in Shibuya to protect the public when villains started causing chaos. He fought bravely against them, even though he was outnumbered, but things took a dangerous turn when Kenjaku put his plan into action. Kenjaku trapped Gojo inside the Prison Realm, an incredibly powerful object from which there seems to be no escape.

When the backup sorcerers finally had to fight, they quickly understood how outmatched they were – none of them possessed Gojo’s immense power to easily defeat the villains. The situation escalated when Jogo forced Yuji Itadori to consume multiple of Sukuna’s fingers, causing Yuji to lose control and inflict widespread destruction. The upcoming season promises continued hardship for the main character, a concern echoed by his voice actor, Yuma Uchida.

Megumi’s Voice Actor Shares His Worries For Yuji in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3

Japanese cinemas are giving out gifts to moviegoers, and one of those gifts is a pamphlet featuring interviews with the voice actors for Yuji Itadori (Junya Enoki) and Megumi Fushiguro (Yuma Uchida). The anime’s official website recently published a part of the interview where Uchida discussed how Yuji changed after the events of the Shibuya Incident.

The actor who voices Itadori explained that the traumatic events of the Shibuya Incident deeply affected his character’s mental state. He questioned whether Itadori could still hold onto his humanity, even if he continued to function as a sorcerer.

He shared that he’s more invested in Itadori’s well-being as a person than as a sorcerer. He noted Itadori is trying to grow, and expressed worry for him, particularly after Fushiguro asks to be saved first, as someone playing the role.

At fifteen years old, Yuji was overwhelmed by the loss of his friends, his battle with Mahito, and the weight of feeling responsible for so many deaths. Sadly, his hardships continue – he’s still dealing with guilt and grief, and new dangers keep appearing. The events in Shibuya were just the start; he must confront even stronger enemies to protect others. This includes Megumi, who, like Yuji, feels responsible for the lives lost after summoning Mahoraga during the crisis.
