Jujutsu Kaisen Teases New Announcement in Jump Festa 2026 Ahead of Season 3

Fans have been waiting over two years, and excitement for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 is at an all-time high! The new season is set to premiere on January 8, 2026, and will cover the Itadori’s Extermination and Perfect Preparation arcs. It will then move into the much-anticipated Culling Game – a battle royale planned by Kenjaku. Expect to meet new characters and witness some of the most intense fights in the series. We’ll also find out why Yuta Okkotsu is back in Japan and determined to eliminate Yuji Itadori. As the second-to-last story arc, the Culling Game will lead directly into the series finale, revealing the master plans of both Kenjaku and Ryomen Sukuna.

With the manga concluding in September 2024, excitement for an anime adaptation of Jujutsu Kaisen is at an all-time high. To build anticipation for the new season, MAPPA released a special movie, Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution, which included a recap of the Shibuya Incident arc and a preview of the first two episodes of Season 3. The movie has already been shown worldwide, with fans raving about its incredible animation and action. While the third season premieres in less than a month, there’s also a promise of a new announcement at Jump Festa 2026.

Jujutsu Kaisen’s Anime Will Share a New Announcement During Jump Festa 2026

According to a trusted source specializing in Shonen Jump news (@WSJ_manga), we’ll be getting an update on Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 and its adaptation of the Culling Game arc. Because the Culling Game is the longest story arc in the manga, it will be split into two parts for the anime. Although the official Jump Festa website confirmed the Jujutsu Kaisen franchise will be present at the event, it didn’t mention any new anime announcements. Jump Festa is Shueisha’s biggest yearly convention, known for revealing news about anime, manga, and games, as well as offering interactive displays and exclusive merchandise.

The two-day event will highlight popular action series from Shueisha’s magazines like Weekly Shonen Jump, Jump Square, V Jump, Saikyo Jump, and the Shonen Jump+ online platform. Jujutsu Kaisen will be featured on the first day, December 20th, 2025, and fans are guessing we’ll see a new trailer or hear the opening and ending songs for Season 3. While it’s probably too early to know how many episodes Season 3 will have, we might find out how MAPPA plans to release it in two parts.

Although the Jump Festa website didn’t hint at any big reveals, it did confirm that the voice actors for Yuji Itadori (Junya Enoki), Megumi Fushiguro (Yuma Uchida), Yuta Okkotsu (Megumi Ogata), and Choso (Daisuke Namikawa) will be appearing on stage. They’ll be talking about the next season of the show and the original manga, and interacting with fans at the event.
