The third season of Jujutsu Kaisen has finished, but fans won’t have to wait long for more! A fourth season has been announced, continuing the story of the intense Culling Game with Yuji, Megumi, Maki, and Yuta. After such an exciting season three finale, it’s a great time to look back at some of the series’ most memorable battles and rank them from least to most impressive.
7.) Megumi & Panda Vs. Kirara

It’s important to note that all of these fights are excellent – truly some of the best anime battles in recent years. The only reason some rank lower is because they’re being compared to each other. The team-up between Megumi and Panda against Kirara felt particularly inspired by JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, with the Jujutsu Tech characters trying to understand and counter their opponent’s abilities. Kirara’s unique technique, “Love Rendezvous,” added a twist, forcing the heroes to both decipher her powers and try to win her over. This fight stands out as genuinely enjoyable in the third season, a contrast to many of the other battles which are far more grueling for those involved.
6.) Reggie Star Vs. Megumi

Megumi’s fight with Reggie Star is even more intense than his previous battle with Kirara. Reggie has a unique ability: he can create anything he needs from the receipts he collects, and then fully control those creations. The fight lasts for two episodes and is incredibly close, with both Megumi and Reggie trading powerful blows. This battle showcases what makes Jujutsu Kaisen stand out – it delivers brutal, impactful fights while also introducing completely unexpected and creative elements you won’t find in other anime.
5.) Choso Vs. Naoya

The fight between Naoya and Choso is memorable, especially because of the iconic meme of Naoya pushing his hair back while punching. This battle is significant as it sets the stage for the events of the third season of the anime, and it was also included in the movie, Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution. Despite happening quickly, it’s considered one of the most exciting fights of the season, with Yuji’s half-brother ultimately winning against the incredibly fast Choso. Their powers were very different, giving Naoya an early lead, but Choso managed to turn things around and secure the victory. Surprisingly, this wasn’t the only fight from the first episode of season three to make the list.
4.) Yuji Vs. Yuta

I have to admit, the fight between Yuta Okkotsu and Yuji Itadori at the end of Jujutsu Kaisen season two really got my attention. Yuji had been so strong up until that point, but Yuta proved to be a completely different challenge. It had been a while since we’d seen Yuta fight, and he clearly leveled up since the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie. Even though the whole fight turned out to be a bit of a setup, it felt like a fantastic way to kick off what’s coming in season three.
3.) Yuji Itadori Vs. Hiromi Higuruma

Watching the fight between Yuji Itadori and Hiromi Higuruma was incredible – it worked on so many levels. Higuruma is already incredibly strong, but his cursed technique, Judgeman, really takes things to another level. Yuji wasn’t just fighting a powerful opponent; he was forced to confront the consequences of Sukuna’s actions and take responsibility for the innocent lives lost. It was a really emotional moment to see him do that. Honestly, this fight could easily have been my pick for the best of the year, but two other battles have just reached legendary status.
2.) Maki Vs. The Zenin

The fourth episode of Jujutsu Kaisen’s third season was a standout, focusing on Maki’s return to her clan to defeat her family. She gained incredible power, rivaling Toji Fushiguro, and completely overwhelmed her former clan members – it was almost difficult to watch. The fight was spectacular, showcasing both her newfound strength and her mercilessness. It wasn’t so much a fight as a complete dismantling of her family. While the season finale was ultimately stronger, this episode was a close contender for the best of the season.
1.) The Sendai Colony (Yuta Vs. Ryu Vs. Takako Vs. Kurourushi)

It might seem simpler to treat the clashes within the Sendai Colony as one massive free-for-all, given how seamlessly the fights blend together, with Yuta Okkotsu at the center of it all. The four fighters – an ancient being who controls space, a cockroach demon, an energy user with a unique style, and a summoner – each have their moment to stand out. Yuta’s final battle of the season is shaping up to be an all-time great anime fight, and it’s hard to argue with that. The Sendai Colony arc is the perfect ending to season three, bringing together everything that makes Jujutsu Kaisen so good into one epic showdown.
