Frontier Developments has unveiled a fresh trailer for its highly anticipated dinosaur park management game, Jurassic World Evolution 3. The trailer, available for viewing below, highlights the game’s management features, demonstrating the various tools players can use to effectively run and maintain their parks.
To make it easier for players to run their parks, they’ll be able to use different teams. Each team specializes in a specific part of managing and maintaining the park. These teams include groups focused solely on maintenance, teams of rangers and animal handlers, and even mobile vet teams. For instance, the maintenance team repairs damaged or broken items, such as the dinosaur enclosures.
The mobile veterinary unit – known as the MVU – regularly checks on all the dinosaurs in your park to ensure they are healthy and receiving proper care. Players assign an MVU to a ranger post, and the team then patrols the surrounding area, examining nearby dinosaurs. While the MVU focuses on dinosaur health, ranger teams are responsible for ensuring the dinosaurs’ comfort and well-being. Learn more about ranger teams.
In addition to this, players can control escapes by using surveillance cameras and setting up capture teams to monitor them. If a dinosaur breaks free, the capture team will handle the situation, reducing potential damage and ensuring the dinosaur is safely returned to its enclosure.
Frontier Developments has given us a good look at Jurassic World Evolution 3. In July, the studio released a trailer featuring the Lokiceratops, one of the dinosaurs players will be able to include in their parks. The trailer described this dinosaur – named after the Norse god Loki – as being quite friendly with other plant-eating dinosaurs. It also mentioned that Lokiceratops prefers to build secluded nests and will aggressively defend them and their young.
The third installment, Jurassic World Evolution 3, expands upon the ideas and systems established in the previous two games. Players will step into the shoes of a park manager, tasked with designing and developing their own dinosaur-themed parks. To create a thriving park, you’ll utilize methods like breeding and genetic engineering to ensure there are plenty of amazing dinosaurs for visitors to enjoy.
This management game includes over 80 different species from the prehistoric era, with 75 available for you to manage and breed. This allows you to raise dinosaur families through multiple generations. Players will also have plenty of creative options to customize their park’s appearance. The game features a complete campaign, and its story includes characters from the Jurassic Park franchise, with Jeff Goldblum returning as Dr. Ian Malcolm.
Jurassic World Evolution 3 is coming to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on October 21.
