Is it too late now for Justin Bieber to make his return to the Grammys stage?
Good news for fans! Katy Perry, known for her hit “Daisies,” will be returning to the Grammy stage after a four-year break. The Grammys officially announced on January 28th that she’s scheduled to perform at the 2026 show on February 1st.
Justin Bieber, nominated four times for his album SWAG – including for Album of the Year – hasn’t been to the awards ceremony since 2022. That was the last time he performed, singing his song “Peaches” from the Justice album.
Justin briefly appeared on stage at the 2024 NHL All-Star Player draft in Toronto. However, since canceling his Justice World Tour in 2023, he’s largely avoided public performances.
At 31, and father to 17-month-old Jack Blues with his wife, Hailey Bieber, Justin was facing health issues. He was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, which caused him to cancel his Justice tour after a performance at Rock in Rio in September 2022.
As many of you may have heard, my recent performance at Rock in Rio really took it out of me! I poured everything I had into that show for the amazing fans in Brazil, and immediately after, I realized I needed to listen to my body. That means I’m going to take a step back from touring for a bit. I’m going to be alright, but right now, my priority needs to be rest and recovery. I appreciate all your understanding and support!
Justin had been performing shows in North America and Europe before arriving in Brazil, and he confessed that the constant touring had really exhausted him.

This year, the Grammy-winning artist made a huge comeback. He unexpectedly released his Grammy-nominated album, SWAG, in July, and then followed it with SWAG II in September. He also announced he’d be performing live for the first time in a year.
In addition to Justin, several rising stars nominated for Best New Artist – including Olivia Dean, Addison Rae, Alex Warren, KATSEYE, Leon Thomas, sombr, Lola Young, and The Marías – will also be performing. Read on to learn more about these exciting artists…

Lola Young, a singer from the UK, first gained recognition as a finalist on the talent show Got What It Takes? in 2016. She then released her first single, “6 Feet Under,” in 2019.
Though her song “Conceited” briefly charted in the UK in 2023, she achieved worldwide recognition in 2024 with her hit single “Messy,” which topped the charts in both the UK and the US, among other places.
Lola described her song as relatable, telling Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show in January 2025 that it’s about being real. She explained it’s not about always presenting a perfect image—everyone has days where they aren’t put-together, like when you haven’t washed your socks. She jokingly added that daily sock-washing is unnecessary.
Lola’s third studio album, I’m Only Fking Myself, released in 2025, has been a global hit.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve always been impressed by multi-talented performers, and Leon Thomas is definitely one of them! You might remember him starting out young – he was amazing on Broadway in shows like The Lion King and The Color Purple, and even had a stint on Nickelodeon’s iCarly. But he really hit his stride playing Andre Harris on Victorious, alongside stars like Victoria Justice and Ariana Grande. That role was a huge breakthrough for him, and it’s been exciting to watch his career blossom ever since.
He went on to co-produce and co-write her 2013 albums, Yours Truly and Christmas Kisses. He also worked with artists like Post Malone, Kehlani, and Ty Dolla $ign. In 2013, Leon released his first single, “Hello How Are You,” which featured Wiz Khalifa.
Okay, so his early stuff didn’t really hit until ‘Favorite’ in 2018, but then… then came ‘Mutt’! Oh my god, ‘Mutt’! It finally happened – it actually climbed all the way to number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100! I was absolutely losing it. And get this – by October 2025, it was DOUBLE PLATINUM! I knew ‘Mutt’ was special from the first listen, and everyone else finally caught on!
As a music lover, I’m so excited for Leon! Beyond being up for Best New Artist, he’s received a total of six Grammy nominations for 2026! His album, Mutt, is a real contender – it’s nominated for both Best R&B Album and the incredibly prestigious Album of the Year. It’s a huge moment for him, and I think we’re going to be hearing a lot more from this artist!

Addison Rae, already famous from TikTok and known for her role in the movie He’s All That, is now receiving recognition for her music career. She’s earned her first Grammy nomination, marking a new step in her career.
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’m so thrilled to see all the buzz around this artist! It’s amazing how quickly she’s risen to prominence – just months after dropping her first album, Addison, she’s already snagged the Best New Artist award. The album is fantastic, packed with hits like “Diet Pepsi,” “Aquamarine,” “High Fashion,” “Headphones On,” and the incredibly catchy “Fame Is a Gun.” Definitely one to watch!

As a longtime follower of emerging artists, I was so thrilled to see The Marías – a band I’ve been watching for years – finally break through to the Billboard Hot 100! The group, fronted by the incredibly talented María Zardoya, also includes Josh Conway, Jesse Perlman, and Edward James. After nearly a decade of creating their dreamy indie pop sound, it’s fantastic to see them getting the recognition they deserve.
The band’s song “No One Noticed,” which peaked at number 22 on the charts, is a deeply emotional and somewhat slow ballad. In a February 2025 interview with Billboard, the lead singer shared that the song’s popularity gives her hope that listeners still appreciate songs they can connect with on a profound, even tearful, level and enjoy repeatedly.
The group was deeply moved when they received a Grammy Award nomination for Best New Artist in 2026.
The band shared on Instagram, celebrating their recent award nomination and reflecting on their journey. They wrote, ‘It feels amazing to be nominated! It’s taken a decade of hard work, but it feels like we’ve become successful overnight. We’re so proud of how far we’ve come.’

KATSEYE is a Los Angeles-based girl group consisting of Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel, Manon Bannerman, Daniela Avanzini, Yoonchae Jeong, and Sophia Laforteza. The group was formed during the 2023 YouTube talent competition, The Debut: Dream Academy, and their journey was later chronicled in the 2024 Netflix docuseries, Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE.
In 2025, the group played a mix of their popular songs, “Gnarly” and “Gabriella,” before the MTV Video Music Awards. They also won the Push Performance of the Year award at the show for their song “Touch.”
“This is unbelievable!” Lara exclaimed while accepting the award. “We’re completely new to this, actually—it’s our first time! We’ve faced a lot of challenges together, so this moment feels incredibly fulfilling, like all our hard work has finally paid off. It’s also giving us the energy to keep moving forward.”

Alex Warren received a Best New Artist nomination at the 2026 Grammys, a particularly meaningful moment for him. He started writing songs as a teenager following his father’s death from cancer. Later, at age 21, he also lost his mother, who had struggled with substance use and, after asking him to leave home at 18, passed away from liver and kidney failure, as he shared with Billboard.
These life events have shaped his music.
Okay, so he finally talked about it, and honestly, it just makes me love him even more. He said his life has been incredible because of his music, but everything hard that’s happened – losing his parents, missing out on a normal childhood – it made him who he is as an artist. He feels like he has a story to share, and he really wants to help people with it. It’s just…so raw and beautiful, you know? I’ve always felt connected to his vulnerability, and this just confirms everything. He’s truly special.
Alex released his first full album, You’ll Be Alright Kid, in July 2025, building on the success of his 2024 EP, You’ll Be Alright, Kid (Chapter 1). The album reached No. 5 on the Billboard 200 chart, and the song “Ordinary,” which was written about his wife, Kouvr Annon, became a No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.
I’ve been following Alex for a while now, and it’s amazing to see all they’re doing! Not only are they a seriously talented musician, but they also helped start Hype House, making them a huge star on social media. It’s incredible to watch their journey!

Sombr barely knew what his life had in store. But now, he’s a Grammy nominee.
As a New Yorker myself, I always appreciate hearing about local talent! This singer actually went to LaGuardia High School – you might know it as the famous arts school from the movie Fame. It’s incredible, but he had a really big break with his 2022 song “Caroline” and decided to pursue music full-time, so he left school to focus on his career. It just goes to show you, sometimes you have to follow your passion!
I remember reading his interview with People back in April, and it really stuck with me. He said that overnight, everything changed after the song blew up. He was flooded with emails from every record label you can imagine – it was incredible to hear how quickly things turned around for him!
Sombr first released his EP, In Another Life, in 2023. Then, in 2025, he put out his first album, I Barely Know Her, which reached No. 10 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album included his hit songs “Back to Friends” and “Undressed.”
Sombr, whose full name is Shane Michael Boose, explained in a preview for his Saturday Night Live debut that his stage name is a clever twist on his initials, SMB.

Man, you need to learn more about Olivia Dean.
The British singer recently received two Grammy nominations – for Best New Artist and Songwriter of the Year (non-classical) thanks to her popular song, “Man I Need.” But she’s been gaining recognition for a while now.
Olivia went to The Brit School, a famous performing arts school also attended by stars like Adele, Jessie J, and the late Amy Winehouse. By 2021, Amazon Music recognized her talent by naming her Breakthrough Artist of the Year.
Two years after that, the singer, then 26, released her first album, Messy, which quickly reached No. 4 on the U.K. charts and included the popular song “Dive.” Her second album, The Art of Loving, came out in 2025 and went all the way to No. 1. Notably, her profile highlights that she was the first British woman since Adele to achieve three Top 10 singles in the U.K.
As for how she’d describe her style?
Olivia recently told ELLE that she simply creates the kind of music she enjoys listening to herself. She’s a big fan of soul, jazz, and bossa nova, and listens to those genres constantly. She doesn’t try to make a certain style of music; she just naturally creates what she loves.
