Justin Hartley, known for his role on Smallville, will share the screen again with a former co-star. According to Us Magazine, Hartley will appear alongside Erica Durance – who played Lois Lane on Smallville – in an episode airing March 22nd. Durance will play Laura, a stuntwoman who enlists Colter Shaw’s help after her partner goes missing on a movie set.
This week’s episode will include David Ramsey, known for his role as John Diggle (Spartan) in the CW’s Arrow, playing Laura’s husband. This is the first time Ramsey and Hartley have shared the screen; Hartley previously played Oliver Queen, the Green Arrow, on Smallville before the character was reimagined in Arrow years later.
The TV series Tracker, which premiered on CBS in 2024, is a popular action drama based on the Colter Shaw novels by Jeffery Deaver, starting with 2019’s The Never Game. The show, developed for television by Ben H. Winters, features Justin Hartley as Shaw, a resourceful survivalist who uses his exceptional tracking abilities to find missing people and collect rewards while traveling across the country.
Joining Hartley in Tracker are Abby McEnany as Velma Bruin, who manages Colter after her husband, Teddi Bruin (played by Robin Weigert), steps down; Eric Graise as Bobby Exley, the tech expert; and Fiona Rene as Reenie Greene, the lawyer advising Shaw. The cast also includes Jensen Ackles as Russell, Colter’s brother, and Brent Sexton as John Keaton, a former detective.
Since it first aired, Tracker has received positive feedback from both critics and viewers. Currently, it has a 7.1/10 rating on IMDb, based on over 27,000 reviews. The show also ranks as one of the most popular series on the site, holding the 142nd position.
What’s Next for Tracker on CBS?
Fans are eagerly awaiting the return of Tracker for its third season later this year. New episodes are scheduled to premiere on CBS on March 1st, and will likely air every Sunday until the season concludes on April 7th.
Hartley recently shared that the new season will focus on resolving the cliffhangers and family conflicts from the previous one. They left viewers with a lot of unanswered questions, and this season aims to provide some closure.
Good news for fans: Season 3 won’t be the last! The show has been renewed, along with several others, including Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage (Season 3), Matlock (Season 3), Elsbeth (Season 4), Fire Country (Season 5), Survivor (Season 51), and The Amazing Race (Season 39).
New episodes of Tracker premiere on CBS on March 1.
