The final arc of Kaiju No. 8 is coming soon, and fans are in for a big surprise! The series had a major presence at Jump Festa 2026, where details about the next anime season were eagerly awaited. The event featured the voice actors – Masaya Fukunishi (Kafka Hibino), Wataru Katou (Reno Ichikawa), Kengo Kawanishi (Soushirou Hoshina), and Kouki Uchiyama (Gen Narumi) – and culminated in the reveal of the new season, complete with a trailer, artwork, and a special announcement.
The anime Kaiju No. 8 is entering its last season with the upcoming installment, titled “Final Chapter,” which is currently being made. A trailer showing highlights from the first two seasons has been released, ending with a message confirming the start of the final story arc. A special episode, “Narumi’s Week at Work,” is also in development. This means the series is wrapping up, and the final arc might arrive quicker than fans think.

The Kaiju No. 8 manga finished unexpectedly with its 129th chapter earlier this year. Since the anime has covered a little over 75 chapters in its first two seasons, it’s likely the next season will be the last. Although there’s no official release date yet, many fans believe the anime could return in 2027. The second season was announced and released quickly after the first, and if that pattern continues, we can expect the final arc of Kaiju No. 8 to arrive around early 2027.
There might be a small delay in the release of the final season, as it will likely have a couple of extra episodes to cover the story’s 40+ chapters – the previous seasons had slightly less content. Adapting the action-packed ending will also take extra time and effort to ensure it’s as good as it deserves. Similar to how Season 2 started with a fun side story, the final season might begin with the short “Narumi’s Week at Work,” showing a lighter side of the main character. Overall, the final season of Kaiju No. 8 is expected to be even better than the first two, with an all-out battle against the Kaiju on the horizon. The fact that it’s been confirmed as the conclusion, along with a promised surprise, suggests a strong and satisfying finale.
