Kaley Cuoco has a theory for avoiding toxic mom groups.
Following Ashley Tisdale’s popular essay in The Cut about conflicts with her mom friends, Kaley Cuoco offered a straightforward way to prevent similar issues.
During a February 5th appearance on Watch What Happens Live, she advised anyone unhappy in a group to simply leave and find a new one, stating, “I don’t think we have to talk about it. Just leave.”
Kaley dated Ashley’s husband, Christopher French, for a short time in the early 2010s. While Kaley didn’t believe a public statement was necessary, Ashley felt that sharing her experience gave her a sense of strength and control.
In an essay published in January, Ashley explained that it would have been simpler to just fade away without saying anything—and that would have let everyone believe they simply grew distant. However, after sharing her experience, she realized she wasn’t alone. Many other mothers had been deeply hurt by people within groups meant to be supportive.
However, Ashley has faced criticism as well. Musician Matthew Koma, whose wife Hilary Duff was once associated with the group Ashley described, even made fun of the essay’s main idea.
He shared a fake magazine cover on his Instagram Story on January 6th, and wrote, “Read my new interview with @thecut.” The fake article’s title read, “When You’re The Most Self-Obsessed and Out-of-Touch Person on Earth, Other Moms Tend To Focus on Their Children.”

Dylan Efron, brother of Zac Efron who worked with Ashley on the High School Musical movies for years, recently said on Watch What Happens Live that he genuinely doesn’t know what’s happening.
Dylan explained that he’s always known Ashley to be a kind person. He doesn’t believe she would intentionally hurt anyone in the mom group and hopes this is all just a mistake.

As many of you know, I stepped away from Queer Eye after eight incredible seasons, and there’s been some chatter about what happened with Tan and me. I wanted to clear things up – back in January 2024, I addressed those rumors directly. We’re all good, and I wanted to set the record straight!
Look, I want to set the record straight. Tan and I are doing okay. We went through a rough patch, something personal that had been building up, but it’s completely separate from the show. And just to be clear, it wasn’t anything romantic – it was a private matter between the two of us that we’re handling.
In March 2024, Tan addressed claims that he tried to get his friend Jeremiah Brent to replace Bobby on the show Queer Eye.
Netflix and the production team held a thorough audition process. I didn’t recommend my friend for the role, but they ultimately earned it because they were the most qualified. I also want to be clear that I didn’t help them get the job by sabotaging anyone else, as I’ve seen some rumors online, he explained on Instagram.

I was honestly shocked when Sharon Osbourne shared a story on TopMob News back in September 2023! She was playing ‘Stir the Pot’ with her daughter, Kelly, and she revealed that the rudest celebrity she’d ever met was Danny Masterson from That ’70s Show. She didn’t hold back, calling him a ‘rude, rude, rude, rude little boy’ and even a ‘dastardly little thing’! It was pretty intense to watch.
He did not respond to her remarks publicly.
Five years ago, Sharon shared with Larry King that Ashton seemed upset during his 2014 appearance on The Talk because she had misspoken his name.
She remembered him asking, ‘Who are you and what have you accomplished in this business?’ Her response was blunt: ‘Listen, don’t challenge me, because I’ll completely overwhelm you.’ She essentially told him, ‘You have no idea who you’re talking to.’

In August 2022, Cassadee Pope and Maren Morris clashed with Brittany Aldean, the wife of country singer Jason Aldean, after Brittany posted a video on Instagram. In the video, posted on August 23rd, she thanked her parents for not allowing her to transition during a phase where she preferred traditionally masculine interests, stating she loved her current feminine lifestyle.

In a 2022 TikTok trend, JoJo Siwa called Candace Cameron Bure the “rudest” celebrity she’d met, explaining that Bure once turned down her request for a photo on the red carpet. Soon after, Bure publicly apologized, saying she regretted hurting Siwa’s feelings as an 11-year-old fan and expressing her remorse for not taking the picture. She said, “JoJo, I’m so sorry!”
Candace and the other person resolved their differences. However, when asked months later if her network, Great American Family, would ever feature same-sex couples as the main characters in holiday films, she said it wouldn’t, explaining that the network would continue to focus on traditional marriage.
JoJo, who publicly shared they are part of the LGBTQ+ community in 2021, responded to the actress’ comment on Instagram, calling it “rude and hurtful to the entire LGBTQ+ community.”

In June 2021, Courtney Love claimed Olivia Rodrigo had copied the album cover art for her band Hole in a promotional photo without giving proper credit. Olivia responded with a simple, “Love u and live through this sooooo much.” Courtney then playfully replied, “Olivia – you’re welcome. My favorite florist is in Notting Hill, London! DM me for details! I look forward to reading your note [winking face emoji].”

I was chatting on Watch What Happens Live recently, and someone asked about my time working with Tom Hanks on Turner & Hooch. Apparently, people are curious about whether we got along! The question was basically, why wasn’t I best buddies with the Forrest Gump star while filming back in 1989. It’s funny what people remember!
I directed the movie for thirteen days, and then Jeff Katzenberg, the producer, called me into his office and told me to go home, saying I had everything I needed.
Winkler and Hanks’ dog seemed to get along very well. “I really loved that dog,” Winkler said.
He also refused to admit if he’s even seen the flick.

“You know what you did!”
Those who watched The Hills will likely recall that famous line, spoken by Lauren at the start of season three. The conflict between them began when Heidi started dating her future husband, Spencer Pratt, and escalated when Lauren claimed Heidi and Spencer spread a false rumor about her and Jason Wahler making a sex tape.

Tyrese and Dwayne Johnson had a public falling out after the release date for Fast & Furious 9 was delayed until April 2020. On the same day, a spin-off movie featuring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham was announced, slated for release in 2019. Shortly after, Tyrese said he would leave Fast 9 if Dwayne Johnson was still involved.
Tyrese recently discussed the long-standing conflict with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, telling Van Lathan on The Red Pill podcast that he still hasn’t spoken directly with Johnson, though he hopes to. He did mention that he had talked to one of Johnson’s production partners, but not Johnson himself.
Tyrese admitted he mistakenly aired private frustrations on behalf of others connected to the franchise. ‘I shouldn’t have gone public with those feelings – it was unprofessional and a mistake on my part,’ he said.

No more bad blood here.
Taylor Swift and Katy Perry were famously feuding for years, and their conflict was even rumored to be the inspiration behind Taylor’s song “Bad Blood.” The disagreement, which began with issues over a shared backup dancer and clashing tour schedules, finally ended when Katy sent Taylor an actual olive branch as a peace offering before Taylor’s Reputation Tour began.
Taylor shared in an Instagram video that she found a real olive branch in her dressing room, saying it meant a lot to her.
Taylor captioned the video, “Thank you Katy.”

For years, Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker, stars of Sex and the City, successfully dismissed rumors of a disagreement. However, those rumors resurfaced when Kim chose not to participate in a third movie and made some pointed comments about her co-star.
During a September 2017 episode of Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen asked Sarah Jessica Parker how she felt about Kim Cattrall telling Piers Morgan they had only ever been coworkers, not friends.
She was really upset about something, saying she felt heartbroken. They had talked about it the previous week, and she explained that her memory of what happened was very different from how it was being presented. She found the situation deeply upsetting because it didn’t match her recollection of events.
It’s definitely sad, but I believe what truly connects us is the unique experience we all shared. It started as a professional collaboration, but over many years, it became something deeply personal. I’m hoping that those years, and the special connection people felt, will outweigh any recent disagreements. It was a privilege to be a part of something so meaningful for so long.
And though they didn’t film scenes together, Kim did make a small appearance on And Just Like That.

Elton John and Madonna have been publicly disagreeing since 2004. The conflict began when Elton, while accepting an award, criticized Madonna’s live performances, using strong language to suggest she relied too much on lip-syncing. He stated that performers who don’t sing live should face serious consequences, especially considering the cost of concert tickets.

The actress, formerly on Grey’s Anatomy, caused a disagreement with the show’s creator back in 2008 when she asked to no longer be considered for an Emmy Award. She explained that she didn’t think the storylines she was given were strong enough to deserve a nomination.
Shonda Rhimes discussed Katherine Heigl’s departure in a 2012 interview with Oprah Winfrey on Oprah’s Next Chapter. She admitted it was both hurtful and expected. “When someone shows you their true colors, pay attention,” Shonda explained. “I’ve really taken that to heart, and it’s helped me a lot.”

The fight between Nicki and Cardi at the Harper’s Bazaar Icon party during New York Fashion Week made headlines everywhere. A month later, Cardi publicly explained what caused the conflict with Nicki.
Cardi B recently told W magazine that another person has been repeatedly criticizing her. They had talked twice before and seemed to resolve things, but the criticism continued.
The conflict truly escalated when Cardi B noticed Nicki Minaj had reportedly liked, then unliked, a tweet criticizing Cardi’s skills as a mother – something Nicki denies doing.
Cardi B explained she turned down a potentially hugely profitable Bruno Mars tour because she wanted to be with her daughter. She emphasized how much she loves her daughter and considers herself a dedicated mother. She responded to criticism about a recent public encounter with another artist, saying opportunities like that don’t come around often, and she wasn’t going to wait to run into someone in a casual setting.

The conflict between Kanye West and Taylor Swift began in 2009 when he interrupted her acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards. They later reconciled and became friends, but their relationship fell apart in 2016 after Kanye released his song “Famous,” which included a reference to Taylor.
Just before the Grammys in February 2025, Kanye West began following only Taylor Swift on Instagram. He didn’t offer any explanation for this action, and Swift didn’t publicly acknowledge it.

“I don’t know her.”
The supposed rivalry between Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez has been talked about for over 15 years. It began during an interview where Mariah was asked about other singers. When asked specifically about Jennifer Lopez, Mariah famously responded, “I don’t know her.”
