Kaley Cuoco’s Vanished Gets Encouraging Season 2 Update

Kaley Cuoco, known for her role in The Big Bang Theory, recently achieved further success with the HBO series The Flight Attendant. She most recently appeared in a new limited series on MGM+.

Kaley Cuoco and her co-star Sam Claflin have both expressed interest in continuing the series with a second season, telling TVLine they would be happy to return as their characters.

The show stars Kaley Cuoco and Sam Claflin as a couple, Alice Monroe and Tom Parker. The story centers around Tom’s sudden disappearance, and the final episode of the four-part series reveals he was actually working undercover to investigate a worldwide human trafficking ring. He went missing during a romantic trip to France to avoid being caught.

Vanished Lead Stars Address a Potential Season 2

Kaley Cuoco’s character, Alice, faced difficult situations throughout the show, ultimately choosing to leave her partner, Tom, at the end. Cuoco shared that she strongly supported this storyline, finding it personally resonant because Tom had deeply hurt her in the past, and she felt his actions were unforgivable.

Kaley Cuoco hopes the second season will center around the characters Alice and Helene, played by Karid Viard. She really enjoyed their relationship, describing their friendship as genuinely sweet and how they supported each other throughout the story.

She shared her thoughts on Season 2, suggesting the character won’t return to France. She envisioned a scenario where the character invites someone else to live with her, perhaps in Los Angeles or New York. While curious about what happens next, she believes the character needs to be more cautious, acknowledging that this experience might make her guarded. Ultimately, she feels the character learned a valuable lesson about truly knowing someone.

However, Claflin had a different take. The actor, known for his role in Lazarus, suggested a twist: he believes the character would actively search for her. He envisioned a plot similar to a sequel, where she’s disappeared, and his goal is to find her.

Will Vanished Get Season 2?

I was really hooked on that four-part drama on MGM+, and it was originally supposed to be just a one-time thing. As of right now, MGM+ hasn’t said if they’re planning another season, but honestly, with how popular it’s become since it first aired, I’m hoping they will!

Despite being popular with viewers and appearing on streaming charts, the series has received mixed reviews. Critics on Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 42% rating, labeling it as “rotten,” while audiences gave it a slightly better, but still lukewarm, 51% rating.

Just because the show was initially planned as a limited series doesn’t rule out the possibility of it continuing. Kaley Cuoco’s show, The Flight Attendant, also started as a limited series but was brought back for a second season, even though it wasn’t as successful the second time around.

Vanished is streaming on MGM+.
