Kansas City Chiefs CEO Details Taylor Swift’s “Big Impact” on the NFL

There’s no denying the alchemy of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship. 

After two years of the romantic connection between “The Life of a Showgirl” singer and Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Clark Hunt, CEO of the NFL team, offered additional details about how this prominent relationship affected the sports league.

In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter on August 22, Hunt stated that the new opportunity provides us a chance to engage with a fresh group of fans who are predominantly women, as the Kansas City Chiefs allegedly took the top spot among all NFL teams when it comes to female fanbase.

It’s been estimated by Hunt that the Chiefs’ fan base is predominantly female, which he described as an unusual characteristic among NFL teams. He also highlighted Swift’s significant influence in this context.

The businessman, nonetheless, maintained that any positive impact the couple has made on the league is merely an added advantage – he had previously dismissed rumors suggesting their relationship was merely a marketing strategy.

To begin with, it’s wonderful to see that both Kelce and Swift are in a happy relationship, as this is what truly matters.

When the Grammy winner exits the tunnel at Arrowhead Stadium, it’s always got a touch of grandeur or flair about it, according to Hunt.

He noted, “Our supporters truly appreciate her presence and adore her because she’s such an ardent Chiefs supporter. Her attendance adds a unique vibe to the atmosphere.

In her own right, Swift, aged 35, has made significant strides in grasping the intricacies of football, surpassing merely being a supporter of her similarly-aged boyfriend.

She openly confessed to both her boyfriend and Jason Kelce on August 13th that she wasn’t familiar with concepts like “first down,” the purpose of “the chains,” or even the role of a “tight end” in football.

The love story between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce started in July 2023, as Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour visited Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.

Enthusiastic about Taylor Swift, the Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end attended the concert in anticipation of gifting her a friendship bracelet engraved with his number. Unfortunately, his attempt was thwarted by her pre-performance routines and he missed the chance to make contact.

Travis explained on his New Heights podcast on July 26th that he felt let down because she doesn’t converse before or after her performances, as she needs to preserve her voice for the 44 songs she sings. In other words, he was a bit bummed out because he couldn’t give her one of the bracelets he had made for her.

Following a blunder he’d later call “purely disastrous,” Travis mustered the courage and extended an invitation to the Grammy-winning artist, suggesting they attend the Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium together.

He mentioned on The Pat McAfee Show that he had made an invitation. Specifically, he said something like, “I hinted that I might be performing at Arrowhead, and suggested she could come watch me there to see who puts on a better show between us.” So, it’s uncertain what will happen in the coming days.

When Travis was initially presented to Taylor, he had a mustache that he’d grown earlier in August during the training camp.

In his reflections on that period, he remarked, “For a while, that mustache and number 87 were quite famous, and I wore them when I first encountered Taylor.

According to a reliable source familiar with the matter, by early September, Travis and Taylor had been occasionally exchanging texts and conversations.

“It’s been very low-key,” the insider explained, “as he’s been in season.”

Following an invitation from Travis, Taylor attended a game with Donna Kelce, the athlete’s mother, at Arrowhead Stadium to watch him play with the Chiefs against the Chicago Bears. Post-match, Taylor and Travis were spotted showing affection publicly at a nearby bar.

She shared with Time magazine, “I will witness him enjoying his passion, we’ll support each other, there are others present and we don’t mind. The contrast is that in another situation, you must put in an excessive amount of effort to ensure nobody discovers that you’re dating.

 

The renowned music artist made Travis’ December 17th game a familial event by inviting her father to support him, acting as his cheerleader.

On New Year’s Eve for the very first time, Taylor and Travis celebrated the occasion as a couple, exchanging a tender kiss at exactly midnight on January 1.

As their relationship deepened, Taylor spent time with Travis’ brother, Jason Kelce, and his sister-in-law, Kylie Kelce, during a Chiefs game versus the Buffalo Bills.

The next day, the pair attended the men’s singles final match at the U.S. Open.

The two stepped out for a double dinner date with Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds in NYC.

Over the final weekend of 2024, the duo ventured out together for successive outings in New York City. Remarkably, they coordinated their wardrobes on both occasions.

During the NFL’s off-season, the duo spent some quality time with sportscaster Erin Andrews, taking a snowy getaway to Montana.

In July 2025, Travis shared the first photos of him and Taylor on Instagram, among which was a charming snapshot taken during dinner that subtly hinted at each having the other’s photo as their phone screen savers.
