So, the team that made Kantai Collection is working on a new game called Ki-Gou Keikaku! It’s a strategy RPG with a historical sci-fi twist, and it’s coming to both PC and mobile. I’m really excited to see what they do with this one!
This new game is a fully 3D experience set in a reimagined version of the Showa era. It focuses heavily on communication between players, and mechs will be a key part of the gameplay. Character designs are by Konishi and Shibafu.
Here are the first screenshots:

C2Architecture says that Ki-Gou Keikaku was originally planned before Kantai Collection, but they paused work on it when Kantai Collection became much more popular than expected, keeping them occupied. Over the last few years, however, they’ve been consistently working on Ki-Gou Keikaku again, and it’s now become a large and ambitious project.
C2Architecture’s website highlights that, in addition to their work on Kantai Collection and Ki-Gou Keikaku, the studio is developing other new projects. These could include content beyond video games, like the Kantai Collection stage play, “Operation Rei-Go 1944,” planned for release in spring 2025.
