Karlie Kloss Reacts to Taylor Swift’s Engagement to Travis Kelce

Although there were whispers of a past disagreement, the model displayed hints of encouragement towards Taylor Swift when she revealed her engagement to Travis Kelce, marking their two-year relationship milestone.

In addition, the founder of Kode with Klossy was joined by several other prominent figures in extending their good wishes online. This group included Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Mahomes, Meghan Markle, and Sabrina Carpenter.

It’s not the first time Karlie has shown support for Taylor since their friendship is said to have ended. In fact, back in 2023, Karlie demonstrated that there are no hard feelings between them by attending Taylor’s groundbreaking concert tour show in Los Angeles, which broke several records as part of her “Cruel Summer” Tour.

Additionally, the following year, at age 33, she confessed her ongoing fandom for her ex-friend’s music, admitting that she had listened to Taylor’s entire 2024 album titled The Tortured Poets Department.

In the July 2024 interview with Yahoo Life, Karlie remarked that Taylor Swift has an impressive number of hits to her name. She then went on to express her affection for the song “Shake It Off,” which she considers one of her personal favorites by Taylor.

Concerning Taylor, she hasn’t openly commented on the matter regarding Karlie, who was a regular member of her group during the _1989_ period. Yet, more recently, Taylor revealed that she generally disregards rumors about herself.

Taylor expressed during her August 13 interview on Travis’ New Heights podcast that whatever one inputs into their mind, it gets absorbed; however, anything added to the internet has a tendency to do harm. After two decades in the music industry, she finds it difficult to be offended these days.

She noted that just because her name might appear in a headline, it doesn’t mean the story is actually concerning her or her personal affairs.

In July of 2023, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s romantic journey started when Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour came to Arrowhead Stadium, which is located in Kansas City, Missouri.

As a dedicated Swift fan (Swiftie), the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs hoped to catch up with Taylor during the show and gift her a friendship bracelet engraved with his number. Unfortunately, he couldn’t execute the gesture because of her pre-performance routines.

Travis explained in his New Heights podcast on July 26th that he felt let down because she doesn’t speak before or after her performances, as she needs to preserve her voice for the 44 songs she sings. Consequently, he was a tad disappointed he couldn’t give her one of the bracelets he made for her.

Following an on-stage slip-up, which Travis himself called “rock solid” later on, he bravely extended an invitation to the Grammy winner to catch the Chiefs game live at Arrowhead Stadium.

He expressed on The Pat McAfee Show that he had made an invitation, essentially tossing the challenge to her. He said, “I’ve seen you shine on stage at Arrowhead, perhaps you could come witness me perform there as well, so we can see who brings more energy to the stage.” Let’s wait and see what unfolds in the upcoming days.

During their initial meeting, Travis sported a mustache that he had grown back in August, particularly during the training camp, on him.

Later on, he remarked about that period, “For a while, that mustache and the number 87 jersey were quite famous, and I was wearing them when I first encountered Taylor.

By early September, as reported by a reliable source to TopMob News, it was discovered that Travis and Taylor had been exchanging occasional texts and phone calls.

“It’s been very low-key,” the insider explained, “as he’s been in season.”

Following Travis’ invitation, Taylor attended a match with Donna Kelce, the athlete’s mother, at Arrowhead Stadium to watch him play alongside the Kansas City Chiefs against the Chicago Bears. Post-match, Taylor and Travis were spotted displaying affection publicly at a nearby bar.

Initially, rumors suggested their face-to-face encounter was their first meeting. However, the “Karma” artist later explained they had already spent a substantial period communicating and getting acquainted prior to that point.

As Taylor noted, “We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.” 

To signal that things were growing more intimate, Taylor took her group – which consisted of friends like Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Sophie Turner, Hugh Jackman, Sabrina Carpenter and Antoni Porowski – to watch the Chiefs battle against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

It’s another indication that Travis might be “The 1,” as Taylor has been developing a friendship not only during, but also beyond National Football League (NFL) games, with Brittany Mahomes, who is married to Travis’ close friend and teammate, Patrick Mahomes.

On October 14, the couple unexpectedly made their relationship debut on an episode of Saturday Night Live in New York City. This grand entrance extended to attending the after-party for SNL and having a romantic dinner at the Waverly Inn.

During a break in his football schedule, Travis decided to travel to Argentina for Taylor’s tour, specifically the South American leg of the Eras Tour. More than just enjoying the November 11th show in Buenos Aires with Taylor’s father, Scott Swift, Travis also had the unique experience of being mentioned on stage by Taylor.

“Karma is that guy on the Chiefs,” Taylor sang, “coming straight home to me.”

Following the performance, the artist of “Midnights” could be spotted hastily making her way backstage to warmly embrace Travis with an affectionate kiss.

Taylor addressed the lavender craze surrounding her appearances at Travis’ games.

She shared with Time magazine that they will support each other as he pursues his passion, and they don’t mind if others are present. In contrast, she explained that keeping a relationship hidden would require extraordinary efforts to maintain secrecy around it.

 

On December 17, the concert sensation made Travis’ game a special event for the whole family by inviting her father to support him in the stands.

On New Year’s Eve for the very first time, Taylor and Travis celebrated together, exchanging a loving kiss as the clock chimed midnight on January 1st.

Taylor continued to grow closer to Travis’ family as he spent time with his brother, Jason Kelce, and his sister-in-law, Kylie Kelce, during the Chiefs’ match against the Buffalo Bills.

On the day the Chiefs secured their place in the 2024 Super Bowl by winning the AFC Championship, Taylor found herself on the football field alongside Travis. During the final weekend of 2024, the couple ventured out twice for consecutive dates in New York City, always coordinating their attire on each occasion.

During the break from the NFL season, the duo had a snowy getaway in Montana, where they were accompanied by sports broadcaster Erin Andrews.

In July 2025, Travis shared the initial photos of him with Taylor on Instagram, among which was a charming snapshot of them dining together. This photo casually hinted that they each had pictures of each other saved as their phone screen savers.
