Kate Gosselin Makes Rare Comments on “Ugly” Divorce From Jon Gosselin

Kate Gosselin is looking back at a difficult chapter.

About 15 years since Jon & Kate Gosselin’s divorce from their reality TV show days, Kate looked back and shared insights about handling the dissolution of her marriage.

Kate expressed during a TikTok Live session on August 27th, as reported by People, that her choices were made considering how she would want to be treated honestly, regardless of whether she has children or not. She avoided the unnecessary drama, negativity, and ugliness because she had kids, aiming to keep their environment as tranquil as possible.

Fundamentally, the reality show of TLC stars, which initially aired from 2007 to 2009 and resumed as “Kate Plus 8” from 2010 to 2017, focused on the role of parenting for the now-21-year-old sextuplets named Collin Gosselin, Hannah Gosselin, Aedan Gosselin, Joel Gosselin, Leah Gosselin, and Alexis Gosselin, along with 24-year-old twins Mady Gosselin and Cara Gosselin.

Instead, the 50-year-old highlighted her sincere motives, pointing out that she didn’t engage an attorney with a knack for causing disputes.

She clarified that her aim was to maintain tranquility and ensure a positive future for her children. Despite several unforeseen events beyond her control, which unfortunately didn’t yield the desired results for her kids, she made every effort possible. Together, they managed to navigate through it as effectively as they could.

Reflecting on the past, she remarked, “Things would have been much more peaceful and pleasant if everyone had cooperated nicely instead.

Regrettably, the situation between Jon (aged 48) and Kate has escalated to such an extent that Colin has shared he’s grown apart from his siblings.

He revealed during a live stream on TikTok on August 20 that he doesn’t communicate with his siblings. He wishes deeply that they did, so they could truly understand him, as they barely know each other at all.

Colin, on the other hand, mentioned that he remains connected with Hannah. In his words, “I even sent her a text message just today.

He noted, “She’s currently immersed in her studies at university, pursuing her passions. I often remark that Hannah seems to embrace life fully-enjoying herself, staying active, and making the most of every moment. As our schedules allow, we manage to stay connected.

In 2018, Kate shared with her followers that she was amazed by her daughters, who kept reminding her about the number of days left until they turned 14. One day, Leah told her, “Mom, it’s only 12 days until we turn 14!” To which Kate responded, “HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE?!” Even though she pointed out that Leah was too small to be turning 14, Leah questioned if she might actually be turning 11 or 12 instead. However, Kate was sure of it because she had given birth to her. She affectionately added that they will always be her babies and expressed her deep love for them.

Kate Gosselin expressed astonishment on Instagram, saying something along the lines of “I can’t believe my sextuplets are already turning thirteen!” as they celebrated a significant milestone in their lives.
