Kate Middleton’s latest look is good as gold.
Princess Catherine, dressed in gold, accompanied Prince William to Windsor Castle on September 17th. King Charles III and Queen Camilla hosted a state banquet there for President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump.
British designer Phillippa Lepley created the stunning silk gown, which included an evening coat adorned with delicate gold lace and beautifully hand-embroidered roses. The dress also featured intricate French knots and satin-stitched flowers.
Kate, 43, completed her look with the famous Lover’s Knot tiara, a piece often worn by her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana. The beautiful tiara, made in 1914 for Queen Mary, features 19 diamond arches and 28 pearls, and was later passed down to Queen Elizabeth II, as reported by Town & Country magazine.
Prince William, age 43, dressed formally for the event in a black tailcoat with red and gold details, worn over a white shirt and tie. He finished the look with a blue sash and several small medals pinned to his jacket.
The couple, parents to Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7, shared a photo on Instagram showing them dressed up for a State Banquet. The caption simply read, “Ready for The State Banquet.”
Kate first wore the Lover’s Knot tiara in July when she and the royal family hosted French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron, for a state banquet. This was the first time she’d worn a tiara in almost two years. She wore it again in December 2023 to welcome diplomats to an event at Buckingham Palace.
Throughout her time as a member of the royal family, Kate has often been admired for her tiara choices. This includes the Cartier Halo tiara she famously wore at her wedding in April 2011, and the Strathmore Rose tiara, which hadn’t been seen in public since the 1930s, when she wore it in November 2023.
