It’s safe to say “jokester” can be added to Kate Middleton‘s titles.
While greeting people after the royal family’s Christmas church service at Sandringham, Princess Catherine experienced a brief, funny incident that she handled with grace.
In a video published by The Sun, Kate was seen talking to someone at the royal family’s private estate in Norfolk when a chair nearby broke with a loud snap. She immediately went to check on the man who had been sitting in it, asking if he was alright.
The man brushed off the mishap, reassuring everyone he was okay and appreciated their concern. When Kate noticed the broken chair and asked if it was his, he explained he’d been planning to stand anyway because the chair was too low. He repeated with a smile, “I’m fine, I’m still standing.”
Kate and the man shared a laugh, and she playfully touched his arm before moving on to greet others. They chatted again briefly, and he joked about a “weight limit” on the chair, mentioning it was all in good fun before the upcoming Christmas dinner.
It was then that Kate quipped, “Too many mince pies!” before moving on.
As a lifestyle expert, I always love seeing families come together, and the royal family’s recent festive gathering was no exception! It was so lovely to see Kate, along with Prince William and their three adorable children – George, Charlotte, and Louis – all celebrating together. They were joined by a wonderful group of relatives, including Princess Anne, Princess Eugenie, and Prince Edward, making for a truly heartwarming scene.

And hers wasn’t the only fan interaction to go viral, either.
After church, Charlotte paused to take a few selfies, which made her fall a little behind her family. William gently reminded her to stay with the group.
In a social media video shared on December 25th, he called out to his daughter, Charlotte, and she politely replied, “I’m coming.”
Prince Louis, Will and Kate’s younger child, happily took a few photos with fans, as shown in videos posted online.
In a TikTok video shared by a fan on December 25th, Princess Charlotte happily agreed to a request for a photo, simply saying “Yes.”

To follow royal protocol, the fan politely asked, “Can you accept this, or are you prohibited from doing so?”
But it seems the snap was well within protocol, as the video then cut to the selfie.

Camilla recently revealed on BBC Radio 4’s Today program that she was attacked on a train when she was a teenager. She said she had largely forgotten the incident, but remembered feeling incredibly angry at the time.
She revealed the perpetrator was a stranger.
Camilla, speaking with BBC’s John Hunt and his daughter Amy Hunt about gender-based violence, recalled an incident from her past. She described being unexpectedly attacked while reading on a train. She fought back, and remembers her mother noticing afterward that her hair was disheveled and a button was missing from her coat.
She explained that after the attack, she didn’t feel fear, but intense anger. That fury stayed with her for a long time.

Following Prince Andrew’s decision to step down from using his Duke of York title, King Charles III announced that his brother would also lose his home at Royal Lodge and be removed as a Prince.
Buckingham Palace announced today that King Charles has begun the official steps to strip Prince Andrew of his royal titles and honors. He will now be known simply as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.

Prince Andrew, the younger brother of King Charles III, has announced he will no longer use the title Duke of York. This decision comes because of ongoing public concern regarding his relationship with the late Jeffrey Epstein, who was convicted of sex offenses.
After talking with The King and my family, I’ve realized the ongoing accusations against me are taking attention away from the important work of His Majesty and the Royal Family,” Andrew said in a statement. “I’ve decided to prioritize my family and country, as I always have. Therefore, I stand by my decision to step back from public life, which I made five years ago.”
Okay, so, Andrew just spoke, and honestly, it’s… a lot. He said, with the King’s okay, he’s completely stepping down – giving up all his titles and everything they’ve given him. And he still insists he’s totally innocent, just like he always has. It’s just… heartbreaking to watch, honestly. I’ve followed him for years, and to see it come to this… I just want him to know I still believe in him!

In October 2025, the King and his oldest son attended the Countdown to COP30 event at the Natural History Museum in London.

The charity has informed the Duchess of this decision and expressed gratitude for her previous contributions, according to The Guardian.
A representative for Ferguson stated the email was sent following a threat made against her by Epstein.

After a 19-month absence, Prince Harry was spotted arriving at Clarence House – the King’s home in London – likely to visit his father before attending another event in the city.

Just hours before she was scheduled to attend, Princess Catherine cancelled her appearance at Royal Ascot, according to Kensington Palace.
The palace stated that Kate was sad to miss the event, but is still working out how to best manage her public appearances as she recovers from cancer.

Prince Harry’s lawsuit seeking extra security ended on May 2nd when a court dismissed it. This came over a year after a previous request for increased protection was denied by the Royal and VIP Executive Committee.
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following the story of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle closely. When they decided to step back as senior royals and move to the US in 2021, their publicly funded security naturally changed. However, it’s been reported that Prince Harry has since requested continued security arrangements whenever he returns to the UK for visits.

Prince Harry expressed his desire to mend fences with his family, particularly his father, but indicated the decision to reconnect rests with the King.
He stated he doesn’t foresee returning to the U.K. with his family anytime soon. He expressed sadness at the thought that his children might not get to know his home country.
Harry explained that his father has significant influence and could potentially solve the situation. He suggested this wouldn’t require direct involvement, but rather allowing professionals to handle things without interference.
After years of fighting, he’s now seeking peace and a way to make amends. He explained, “Life is short, and my father doesn’t have much time left.”

More than a year after revealing his cancer diagnosis, King Charles wrote on April 29th that going through treatment has highlighted the kindness and strength he’s seen in people.
In a booklet offering support to cancer patients, Charles wrote that receiving a diagnosis is understandably scary for individuals and their families. However, drawing from his own experience, he emphasized that it can also reveal incredible kindness and strength in people.
He expressed gratitude to the healthcare professionals who cared for him, and shared that the experience reinforced his admiration for the incredible work done by the organizations and people present, many of whom he’s known and supported for a long time.

He was promoted almost seven years after he raised concerns about Meghan Markle, claiming she bullied two personal assistants and tried to discredit another staff member. Representatives for the Sussexes denied these claims, telling The Times that the story was a deliberate attempt to damage their reputation with false information.
Buckingham Palace looked into the claims, but the investigation concluded in 2022 with no public report on its findings.

In 2017, Craker told The New York Post that he saw Prince William acknowledge him while the Queen Mother’s hearse passed by. Craker had been standing at the back of the hearse and nodded to the Prince, who seemed reassured that Craker was with his mother during her last trip.

As a long-time supporter of Prince Harry, I was really pleased to hear about the settlement he reached with News Group Newspapers – the people behind The Sun and the old News of the World. He originally sued them back in 2019, believing their journalists and investigators had illegally obtained information about him and his family, and it’s good to see some resolution after all this time. It’s a relief knowing he’s standing up for his privacy and that of his family.
According to NBC News, the settlement involved a significant financial payment and a complete, sincere apology to Prince Harry. The company also publicly admitted to the widespread and harmful coverage that invaded both his privacy and the privacy of his mother, Princess Diana.

On January 14th, The Princess of Wales shared the wonderful news that her cancer treatment has been successful and she is now in remission.
I was so relieved to hear she’s now in remission and is concentrating on getting better. She shared that, like anyone who’s faced a cancer diagnosis, it takes time to find a new normal, and it really resonated with me. It’s a journey, and I’m sending her all my support.

Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, is grieving the loss of her rescue beagle, whom she adopted in 2015, before she met Prince Harry.
On January 7th, she shared a heartfelt message on Instagram about crying so much that she’d lost count. She described how she’d often stand in the shower, hoping the water would wash away her sadness, or at least make it feel less real. But she acknowledged that even though it hurt, it was okay to feel those emotions.
Meghan lovingly remembered her dog, Guy, saying, ‘Thank you for always loving me, my sweet boy. You brought so much joy to my life.’

Okay, so, can you BELIEVE it?! Meghan Markle – yes, the Meghan Markle, from Suits! – finally joined Instagram on her own! I mean, she basically disappeared from social media right before marrying Prince Harry, and I’ve been waiting years for her to come back. It’s only January 1st, and she’s already done it! I’m seriously losing it right now!
The next day, she revealed a new Netflix series called With Love, Meghan. A press release described it as a fresh take on lifestyle shows, combining helpful tips and honest chats with both familiar and new friends.

I was so thrilled to see Kate and William bring Prince George and Princess Charlotte to Wimbledon in June 2025! It’s a rare treat to get a glimpse of them enjoying a family day out like that, and it was lovely to see them all there.
