Kate Middleton Makes Surprise Appearance Alongside Prince William

Kate Middleton is starting the new year with a special outing.

Princess Kate made an unexpected visit to Charing Cross Hospital in London on January 8th, alongside her husband, Prince William. The visit, which came just before her 44th birthday on January 9th, saw the couple meet with healthcare workers in their roles as patrons of NHS Charities.

While visiting, Kate—mother to George, 12, Charlotte, 10, and Louis, 7, along with William—talked with a volunteer who supports cancer patients.

According to Hello! Magazine, during a conversation, a volunteer spoke about the time spent with patients undergoing chemotherapy. Kate, who revealed she was in remission after being diagnosed with cancer in 2025, simply responded, “I know.”

Her diagnosis affected more than just her; William thought about his wife’s hospital stay and how it helped them both truly value the dedication of doctors and nurses.

He explained that they both had unique experiences with hospitals – his involving air ambulance work and Catherine’s stemming from a recent health challenge. He added that being there today served as a reminder of how vital all hospital teams and staff are, and how important their interactions with patients are.

He emphasized how wonderful and crucial it is to recognize and value everything the NHS does, as well as the strong connection between patients and those who care for them.

Kate recently stepped out wearing a burgundy suit by Roland Mouret, following her attendance at the Christmas Day church service with her family at Sandringham. This year’s service was especially meaningful as it marked Kate’s return after she had to miss it last year while recovering from cancer treatment.

Last January, Kate announced that her cancer was in remission, but she explained it would still take time to get used to life after treatment.

The 43-year-old announced on X (formerly Twitter) on January 14th that they are now in remission and continuing to focus on getting better.

She added that she’s excited about the year ahead and optimistic about what’s to come. She also expressed her gratitude for everyone’s ongoing support.

Camilla recently revealed on BBC Radio 4’s Today program that she was attacked on a train when she was a teenager. She said she’d largely forgotten the incident, but remembered feeling very angry at the time.

She revealed the perpetrator was a stranger.

Camilla, speaking with BBC’s John Hunt and his daughter Amy about gender-based violence, recounted a frightening experience. She explained that she was reading when a stranger attacked her, but she fought back. She vividly remembers getting off the train and her mother noticing something was wrong – her hair was standing up and a button was missing from her coat.

Looking back, she explained that after what happened, it wasn’t just fear I sensed, but a deep, simmering anger. She said it really stuck with her, quietly building up over the years. It wasn’t about being scared, it was about being furious about the whole thing, and that feeling just stayed with her for a long time.

Following Prince Andrew’s decision to stop using his Duke of York title, King Charles III announced that he would also remove his brother from his home at Royal Lodge and revoke his title as Prince.

As a long-time follower of the Royal Family, I was surprised to learn today that King Charles has officially begun the process of stripping Prince Andrew of his royal titles and honors. Buckingham Palace released a statement confirming this, and it seems he’ll now simply be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. It’s a significant change, and a clear signal of the direction things are heading.

Prince Andrew, the younger brother of King Charles III, has announced he will no longer use the title Duke of York. This decision comes because of ongoing public concern about his association with the late Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender.

After talking with The King and my family, I’ve decided the ongoing accusations against me are taking attention away from the important work of His Majesty and the Royal Family,” Andrew said in a statement. “As I’ve always done, I’m prioritizing my family and country. Therefore, I stand by my decision to step back from public duties, which I made five years ago.”

Andrew stated that, with the King’s approval, he was taking a further step and would give up his royal title and any honors he’d received. He reaffirmed that he strongly denied the allegations made against him.

Oh my gosh, I was there! In October 2025, the King and Prince William actually came to the Natural History Museum in London for this event called ‘Countdown to COP30’! I nearly fainted when I saw them – it was incredible!

The couple took photos outside the museum and then went inside to talk with government officials and activists focused on fighting climate change. This event was held before the COP30 World Leaders Summit in Belém, Brazil, next November, which Prince William will attend as a representative for his father.

In September 2025, Sarah, Duchess of York, stepped down as a patron of Julia’s House after an old email from 2011 surfaced. The email revealed she referred to Jeffrey Epstein as a friend.

After reports surfaced this weekend about the Duchess of York’s communication with Jeffrey Epstein, Julia’s House has decided it’s no longer appropriate for her to continue her role as a patron of the charity. The charity has informed the Duchess of this decision and expressed gratitude for her previous contributions, according to The Guardian.

A representative for Ferguson stated that the email was sent following a threat made against her by Epstein.

After a 19-month absence, Prince Harry was spotted arriving at Clarence House – the King’s home in London – likely for a meeting with his father before attending another event in the city.

Harry arrived at the house around 5:20 p.m. on September 10th, but Charles had come back just a few hours earlier.

Princess Anne’s son and his girlfriend, Harriet Sperling, announced their engagement on August 1st. They had been dating for over a year. He shares a father, Mark Phillips, with her.

The couple’s spokesperson told Hello! magazine that both families were told together and were very happy to hear about the engagement.

Just a day before turning 78, the royal was made an honorary Vice Admiral by the United Kingdom’s Royal Navy.

Camilla is the first woman to receive this honorary title. It’s awarded on the recommendation of the First Sea Lord, currently Sir Gwyn Jenkins, and must be approved by the reigning monarch—in this case, her husband, King Charles III.

Just hours before she was scheduled to attend, Princess Catherine canceled her appearance at Royal Ascot, a yearly horse race. Kensington Palace confirmed the news to NBC News.

The palace says Kate was sad to miss the event, but she’s still working out how to best manage her public appearances as she recovers from cancer.

Prince Harry’s lawsuit seeking extra security ended on May 2nd when the courts rejected his claim. This followed a decision over a year prior, when the High Court, through the Royal and VIP Executive Committee, had already denied his request for increased protection.

After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stopped being full-time working royals in 2021 and moved to the U.S., their security protection was reduced. However, Harry later asked for continued security arrangements whenever he traveled to the U.K.

As someone who follows the royal family closely, I was really struck by Prince Harry’s recent interview. He shared how deeply upset he is about the outcome of his legal fight, and honestly, it sounds like he’s reached a point where he doesn’t foresee a future for his family living in the UK again. It’s a really difficult situation, and he was very clear about how he feels.

In an interview with the BBC on May 2nd, Prince Harry explained that his father, King Charles III, isn’t currently speaking to him due to disagreements about security. He expressed hope that they could resolve their differences and rebuild their relationship.

I really hope Prince Harry and his family can find a way to reconnect. He’s said himself he’d love to, and it’s clear how much he misses them, especially with Archie and Lilibet growing up. It seems like the next step really depends on his dad, though – it’s up to the King when and if they’ll be able to move forward.

He doesn’t foresee returning to the U.K. with his family anytime soon. He expressed sadness at the thought of his children not getting to know his home country.

Harry explained that his father has significant influence and could potentially solve the situation. He suggested this wouldn’t require direct involvement, but rather allowing professionals to handle things without interference.

After years of fighting, he’s now seeking peace and a chance to make amends. He explained, “Life is too short, and I don’t know how much time my father has left.”

More than a year after announcing he had cancer, King Charles wrote on April 29th that going through treatment has shown him the incredible kindness and strength of people.

As someone who’s walked this path myself, I can tell you that getting a cancer diagnosis is incredibly scary, not just for the person facing it, but for their family too. That’s what Charles wrote in a guide he created, offering support and resources. And he’s right – even though it’s a frightening time, it also showed me the amazing kindness and strength people are capable of. It really brings out the best in humanity.

I’m incredibly grateful for the amazing healthcare professionals who supported me recently. It’s really reinforced how much I admire the dedication of the organizations and people in this room – many of whom I’ve had the pleasure of knowing, visiting, and supporting over the years. Their work is truly extraordinary, and I have a deep appreciation for everything they do.

Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis – were absent from the royal family’s traditional Easter service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor on April 20th.

He was promoted almost seven years after he reported concerns about Meghan Markle’s behavior, claiming she bullied two assistants and tried to discredit another staff member. Representatives for the Sussexes responded by saying the accusations were false and part of a deliberate attempt to damage their reputation with inaccurate information, as reported by The Times.

Buckingham Palace looked into the claims, but the investigation concluded in 2022 with no public report on the results.

William and Kate’s eldest son George attended a soccer match in Paris alongside his dad April 7.

A father and son happily watched the UEFA Champions League Quarter Final match between Paris Saint-Germain and Aston Villa at the Parc des Princes stadium.

Craker was with Princes William and Harry when they found out their mother, Princess Diana, had passed away, and he was also present at her funeral.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! I was actually there when they were taking Mum on her last ride. I was standing near the back of the hearse, and Prince William… he looked at me. He actually acknowledged me! I nodded back, of course, and he just… he seemed so much better knowing I was there with his mum, supporting her on her final journey. It was just… everything. I’ll never forget it!

Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, reached a legal settlement with News Group Newspapers – the company behind both The Sun and the now-closed News of the World – on January 22nd. He had sued the organization in 2019, claiming their journalists and investigators illegally obtained information about the royal family.

The agreement involved the company paying a significant amount in damages and offering a complete and sincere apology to Prince Harry. They also publicly acknowledged the widespread and harmful media coverage that invaded both his privacy and the privacy of his mother, Princess Diana, according to NBC News.

She added that she was excited about the year ahead and optimistic about what it would bring.

On January 7th, she shared a heartfelt message on Instagram about crying so much she’d lost count. She described how she’d stand in the shower, hoping the water would wash away the pain, or at least make it seem less real. But she acknowledged that even though it hurts, it’s okay to feel those emotions.

Meghan fondly remembered her beloved Guy, saying, “Thank you for always loving me, and for bringing so much joy to my life.”

Edward Pettifer, the stepson of Prince William and Prince Harry’s former nanny, Tiggy Legge-Bourke (also known as Alexandra Pettifer), was a victim of the terrorist attack in New Orleans on New Year’s Day.
