Kate Middleton, Prince William Attend Royal Event After Andrew Arrest

The royal family is continuing on with their duties.

Just under a month after Prince Andrew—King Charles’ brother—was arrested on February 19th, King Charles attended the yearly Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey on March 9th. He was joined by his son, Prince William, and William’s wife, Kate Middleton.

At the yearly Commonwealth celebration, honoring the 56 member countries, Kate and William both wore shades of blue as they arrived at the London church. Princess Kate chose a long navy coat dress with matching heels and a statement fascinator. Prince William complemented her with a classic blue suit, a white shirt, and a blue tie.

The couple walked up the church steps together, the same church where they had gotten married in 2011, and smiled as they listened to the drummers playing outside.

Oh my goodness, he looked amazing! Charles chose this gorgeous gray pinstripe suit, and the bright blue tie with the white details? Perfection. And honestly, seeing him with Queen Camilla was everything – that bold red coat and hat she wore just popped! It was so lovely to see Princess Anne and Tim Laurence there too, the whole family looking so regal. I was absolutely captivated!

The royal family is attempting to appear more down-to-earth just weeks after Prince Andrew was arrested. The arrest came amid renewed attention to his ties with the late Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender, following the release of documents by the U.S. Department of Justice. Prince Andrew was released the same day and has not been formally charged with any crime.

Following his brother’s legal issue, Charles issued a statement.

On February 19th, King Charles expressed his deep concern after learning about his brother, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, being taken into police custody and facing allegations of misconduct while in public office. He stated that the matter will now be thoroughly and fairly investigated by the relevant authorities.

Charles stated that he and his family need to let the legal process unfold, and he doesn’t want to discuss the situation any further.

The king stated that he and his family would remain focused on their responsibilities and wouldn’t let the issues surrounding Andrew interfere with their work. He affirmed, “My family and I will continue to serve you all.”

Marius Borg Høiby, the eldest son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit and stepson of Crown Prince Haakon, was arrested on February 1st for assault, threatening someone with a knife, and breaking a restraining order, according to a statement from Oslo police to the Associated Press.

The 29-year-old man, who isn’t a royal and doesn’t have any official responsibilities, will be held for up to four weeks due to concerns he might commit further crimes. This follows a decision by the Oslo district court. His lawyer, Petar Sekulic, said they are thinking about appealing the ruling.

Høiby will appear in court on February 3rd to face charges related to four alleged rapes that occurred between 2018 and 2024, along with accusations of domestic violence and breaking a restraining order.

In a statement to the Associated Press, his lawyers said Høiby rejects all accusations of sexual abuse and most of the claims involving violence.

Prince Harry began a trial in London’s High Court on January 19th, taking on Associated Newspapers – the company behind the Daily Mail, The Mail on Sunday, and Mail Online. He alleges the media group used unethical methods to gather news.

Elton John, Elizabeth Hurley, and Sadie Frost are also joining the lawsuit against the publishing company.

Associated Newspapers has “vigorously denied” the claims, according to the BBC.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle marked their tenth anniversary as a couple by releasing a sweet, black and white video of them dancing at home.

The couple shared a sweet video set to Olivia Dean’s song “So Easy (To Fall In Love),” and revealed it was filmed by their 4-year-old daughter, Lilibet. Meghan, who also shares 6-year-old son Archie with Harry, gave credit to Lilibet in the Instagram post’s caption, simply writing, “cred: our daughter.”

The couple shared a cute photo from when they first started dating. It shows them hugging during a trip outdoors.

“When 2026 feels just like 2016….,” Meghan wrote in the caption. “You had to be there.”

I was so saddened to hear the news that Queen Sofia of Spain’s sister passed away earlier this week at the age of 83. The Greek royal family shared the announcement, and it’s a difficult time for them, of course. It’s always so touching when we hear about loss within royal families, and my thoughts are with everyone affected.

The Greek Royal Family announced with great sadness the death of Princess Irene, a cherished sister and aunt, who passed away on Thursday, January 15th, 2026, at 11:40 AM local time at Zarzuela Palace in Madrid, surrounded by family.

The funeral for her took place on January 19th at the Metropolitan Cathedral in Athens, and she was buried at the Royal Cemetery of Tatoi.

On her 44th birthday, the Princess of Wales shared a message on the power of nature to heal.

In a recent video, Kate reflected on winter, noting that even during the coldest and darkest times, the season encourages us to be still, patient, and thoughtful. She described how winter’s slower pace—like a gently flowing stream—allows us to look inward, understand ourselves better, and connect with the natural world around us.

You know, lately I’ve been thinking a lot about gratitude, and it’s been incredibly powerful. It’s like letting go of everything that holds you back – fears just wash away, and you find a real sense of peace, even with the sadness. It’s in those moments, connecting with nature, that I truly feel alive and healed. Nature is such a gentle guide, reminding us of who we are and helping us move forward.
