Kate Middleton and Prince William are hitting the town in style. 

The Prince and Princess of Wales made a stylish appearance at the Royal Variety Performance in London on November 19th, marking their first red carpet event together in two years. They both wore coordinating velvet outfits.

Prince William and Kate Middleton enjoyed a date night and took photos together at the Royal Albert Hall. They are parents to Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7. William looked sharp in a black velvet suit, while Kate wore a vibrant emerald green dress with silver jewelry.

Kate and William, age 43, enjoyed a coordinated look while watching British comedian Jason Manford host the yearly Royal Variety Performance. The event benefits the Royal Variety Charity, which helps people who work in the entertainment industry. Performers included singers Jessie J and Laufey, as well as the West End cast of Les Misérables.

Prince William and Princess Kate recently attended an event, marking their first public appearance at the Royal Variety Performance in two years – they last attended in November 2023. They missed the 2024 show while Kate was receiving treatment for cancer, which she was diagnosed with in March. She recently announced she is in remission and concentrating on fully getting better.

In a January post on X, Kate shared her optimism for the year ahead, saying she was excited about what’s to come and grateful for the ongoing support she receives.

As many of you know, Kate and William have been diligently fulfilling their royal responsibilities these past few months. While Kate is thankfully doing well in her health journey, William recently shared how challenging it was to explain her cancer diagnosis to their children. It’s a reminder that even those in the public eye face deeply personal family moments, and navigating those with young ones is always tough.

Following Prince Andrew’s decision to step down as Duke of York, King Charles III announced further changes: his brother will also lose his home at Royal Lodge and no longer be known as Prince Andrew.

Buckingham Palace announced today that King Charles has begun the process of stripping Prince Andrew of his royal titles and honors. He will now be known simply as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.

Prince Andrew, the younger brother of King Charles III, has announced he will no longer use the title Duke of York. This decision comes because of ongoing public concern about his relationship with the late Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender.

After talking with The King and my family, I’ve realized the ongoing accusations against me are taking attention away from the important work of His Majesty and the Royal Family,” Prince Andrew said in a statement. “As I’ve always done, I’m prioritizing my family and country. Therefore, I stand by my decision from five years ago to step back from public duties.”

Andrew stated that, with the King’s approval, he was taking things a step further. He would be giving up his royal title and any honors he’d received. As he’s said before, he strongly denies any wrongdoing.

 

In October 2025, the King and his oldest son attended the Countdown to COP30 event held at the Natural History Museum in London.

The couple took photos outside the museum and then went inside to talk with government officials and activists focused on fighting climate change. This event happened before the COP30 World Leaders Summit in Belém, Brazil, in November, which Prince William will attend in place of his father.

In September 2025, Sarah, Duchess of York, stepped down as a patron of Julia’s House after an old email from 2011 surfaced. The email revealed she referred to Jeffrey Epstein as a friend.

After details emerged this weekend about the Duchess of York’s communication with Jeffrey Epstein, Julia’s House has decided it’s no longer appropriate for her to continue her role as a patron of the charity. The charity has informed the Duchess of this decision and expressed gratitude for her previous contributions, according to The Guardian.

A representative for Ferguson stated the email was sent following a threat made by Epstein.

It was so wonderful to see Prince Harry back at Clarence House today! Princess Anne’s son and his girlfriend, Harriet Sperling, announced their engagement on August 1st. They had been dating for over a year. He shares a father, Mark Phillips, with his sibling.

The couple’s spokesperson told Hello! magazine that both families were told together and were very happy about the engagement.

Just a day before turning 78, the royal was made an honorary Vice Admiral by the United Kingdom’s Royal Navy.

Camilla is the first woman to receive this honorary title. It’s awarded only by the reigning monarch—currently her husband, King Charles III—based on a recommendation from the First Sea Lord, Sir Gwyn Jenkins.

Just hours before she was scheduled to attend, Princess Catherine canceled her appearance at Royal Ascot, according to Kensington Palace.

The palace says Kate was sad to miss the event, but she’s still working out how to best manage her public appearances as she recovers from cancer.

Prince Harry’s lawsuit seeking extra security ended on May 2nd when the courts rejected his claim. This followed a decision over a year prior, when the High Court had already denied his request for increased protection through the Royal and VIP Executive Committee.

After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stopped being full-time working royals in 2021 and moved to the U.S., their security protection was reduced. Since then, Harry has asked for security arrangements to be made when he travels to the U.K.

Prince Harry told the BBC on May 2nd that he was deeply upset by the outcome of his recent legal case. He stated that, as things currently stand, he doesn’t foresee returning to the UK with his wife and children.

In an interview with the BBC on May 2nd, Prince Harry explained that his father, King Charles III, isn’t currently speaking to him due to disagreements about security. However, he expressed hope that they can resolve their differences and rebuild their relationship.

Prince Harry said he wants to rebuild his relationship with his father and the rest of his family, who he shares children Archie and Lilibet with. However, he believes it’s up to his father to make the first move.

As someone who’s always believed in creating a life that feels right, I’ve made the difficult decision not to return to the U.K. with my family right now. It’s honestly heartbreaking for me to think I won’t be able to share my roots and my homeland with my children. It’s a deeply personal thing, and while I cherish my heritage, my current life feels like the best path forward for us all.

Harry explained that his father has significant influence and could potentially solve the situation. He suggested this wouldn’t require direct involvement, but rather his father simply letting the professionals handle things and continue their work.

After years of fighting, he’s now seeking peace and a chance to make amends. He explained, “Life is short, and my father doesn’t have much time left.”

More than a year after announcing his cancer diagnosis, King Charles wrote on April 29th that going through treatment has highlighted the kindness and strength of people around him.

In a booklet offering support to cancer patients and their families, Charles wrote that receiving a diagnosis is understandably scary. However, drawing from his own experience, he also shared that it can reveal incredible kindness and strength in people.

He expressed gratitude to the healthcare workers who cared for him, and shared that the experience deepened his respect for the incredible work done by the organizations and people present, many of whom he’s known and supported for years.

Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis – were absent from the royal family’s traditional Easter service at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor on April 20th.

King Charles III and Queen Camilla joined the rest of the royal family in celebrations, but Prince William and Kate chose to spend the weekend at their country home in Norfolk with their children, according to several news sources.

This was the second Easter the couple missed. It happened just a week after Princess Catherine shared news of her cancer diagnosis.

On April 15th, Jason Knauf was named the new CEO of The Earthshot Prize, Prince William’s environmental organization. In a statement on the organization’s website, Knauf expressed his excitement about collaborating with the team and the Earthshot community to promote hopeful solutions for the planet.

He was promoted almost seven years after he raised concerns about Meghan Markle, claiming she bullied two personal assistants and tried to discredit another staff member. Representatives for the Sussexes denied these claims, telling The Times that the accusations were part of a deliberate effort to spread false and damaging information.

Buckingham Palace looked into the claims, but the investigation concluded in 2022 with no public report of its findings.

A spokesperson announced to The Telegraph that the duchess is pregnant and expecting a baby this summer. The couple expressed their joy and excitement about starting a family.

Prince Frederik, the son of Prince Robert and Princess Julie, passed away on March 1st at the age of 22 after a long illness. He suffered from PolG mitochondrial disease, a rare genetic condition.

Honestly, Frederik is my superhero – he’s everyone in my family’s hero, and so many of our friends feel the same way! It’s amazing how, with his PolG Foundation, he’s become a hero to people all over the world. What I admire most is how he inspires everyone around him, just by being him. He really leads by example, and it’s incredible to witness.

 

Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, reached a legal settlement with News Group Newspapers – the company behind both The Sun and the now-closed News of the World – on January 22nd. He had sued them in 2019, claiming their journalists and investigators illegally gathered information about the royal family.

According to NBC News, the settlement involved the company paying a significant amount in damages and offering Harry a complete and sincere apology. They also publicly admitted to the widespread and harmful coverage that invaded both his privacy and the privacy of his mother, Princess Diana.

On January 14th, The Princess of Wales shared the wonderful news that her cancer treatment has been successful and she is now in remission.

She announced on X (formerly Twitter) on January 14th that her cancer is in remission and she’s concentrating on getting better. She added that, like anyone facing a cancer diagnosis, she’s still adjusting to life after it.

She added that she’s optimistic about the year ahead and excited for what’s to come.

Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, is grieving the loss of her rescue beagle, a dog she adopted back in 2015, before she met Prince Harry.

On January 7th, she shared a heartfelt message on Instagram about her sadness. She wrote about crying so much that it felt endless, describing how she’d sometimes stand in the shower hoping the water would wash away the pain, even though she knew it wouldn’t. She ended by acknowledging that it was okay to feel those emotions.

Meghan lovingly remembered her dog, Guy, saying, “Thank you for always loving me, my sweet boy. You brought so much joy to my life.”

 

Edward Pettifer, the stepson of Tiggy Legge-Bourke – who used to be a nanny for Princes William and Harry – was killed in a terrorist attack in New Orleans on New Year’s Day.

Prince William and Catherine were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Ed Pettifer. In a statement posted on Kate Middleton’s Instagram on January 4th, Prince William said their thoughts are with the Pettifer family and everyone affected by this terrible tragedy.

Meghan Markle, known for her role on the TV show Suits, started her own Instagram account on January 1st. She had previously closed her personal social media accounts just before marrying Prince Harry in 2018.

The next day, she revealed a new Netflix series called With Love, Meghan. A press release described it as a fresh take on lifestyle shows, combining helpful tips and honest chats with both familiar and new friends.

In June 2025, Prince William and Kate Middleton made a special appearance at Wimbledon with their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

The family shared on Instagram how happy they were to be back at Wimbledon for the Championships finals this weekend. They congratulated Iga Świątek and Jannik Sinner on their victories and thanked everyone who helped make the tournament so wonderful.
