Kate Middleton’s Sweet Moment With Young Fans Will Warm Your Heart

Kate Middleton’s style has the seal of approval from tiny fashionistas.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! I was reading about Princess Diana’s first visit to the RAF base in Coningsby, Lincolnshire, England on October 2nd, and it was just *so* her! She was met by this adorable group of little girls, and they were completely captivated by what she was wearing. But the best part? She was just as charmed by *them*! She immediately made sure they knew she appreciated them too. It was magical, honestly. You can find more details here, but trust me, it’s absolutely heartwarming.

As a bit of a dress enthusiast myself, I completely understood the excitement when I saw those adorable “princess dresses!” While chatting with some lovely girls in a video – which HELLO! magazine so kindly shared – I couldn’t help but playfully ask, “Where’s mine? If I had known…” It’s all about embracing a little magic, isn’t it? As the newly appointed Royal Honorary Air Commodore, even *I* appreciate a good frock!

“I apologize for not wearing a dress today,” the 43-year-old-who is a parent to George, 12, Charlotte, 10, and Louis, 7, with Prince William-explained. “Thank you for visiting me.”

I was so charmed watching Kate interact with all the little ones! But she definitely didn’t forget her own family. After she had a look around the planes that keep our skies safe, they gifted her three Typhoon models for each of her and William’s children – what a lovely gesture! It was heartwarming to see.

Actually, she mentioned that Louis hopes to be a fighter pilot-William used to be a search and rescue pilot with the RAF-and she explained how she supports this dream as a mother.

Kate explained that training a pilot takes eight years,” she said while looking around the inside of a Quick Reaction Alert Typhoon, the outlet reported. “It also requires a great deal of dedication and effort.”

Kate’s appearance in public follows shortly after her husband offered a personal and honest look at the family’s difficult year in 2024, during which both she and his father, King Charles III, received cancer diagnoses.

“I think 2024 was the most challenging year of my life,” William shared with Eugene Levy on the third season of the Schitt’s Creek star’s Apple TV+ series The Reluctant Traveler. “Life often presents us with difficulties to help us grow, and it’s how we deal with those challenges that shapes who we become.”

Although the family, including Kate, who shared in January that her cancer is now in remission, has overcome a difficult period, William acknowledged that raising three young children while also managing his work is very challenging. That’s why getting enough sleep is a priority for him when he’s at home.

“When you’ve got three small children,” he said, “sleep is an important part of my life.”

In September 2025, Sarah, Duchess of York, was removed from her position as a patron of Julia’s House after an email from 2011 to Jeffrey Epstein came to light. In the email, she referred to him as a friend.

After details emerged this weekend about the Duchess of York’s communication with Jeffrey Epstein, The Guardian reports that Julia’s House has decided it’s no longer appropriate for her to serve as a patron of the charity. The charity stated they have informed the Duchess of this decision and expressed gratitude for her previous contributions.

A representative for Ferguson stated that the email exchange occurred following a threat made against her by Epstein.

After a gap of 19 months, Prince Harry-the Duke of Sussex-was spotted arriving at Clarence House-the King’s home in London-likely to see his father before attending another event in the city.

Harry arrived at the house around 5:20 p.m. local time on September 10th, but Charles had come back to the home only a few hours earlier.

After dating for over a year, the son of Princess Anne and Mark Phillips announced his engagement to Harriet Sperling on August 1st.

The couple’s representative shared in a statement to Hello! at the time, that both families were told together about the news, and they were all very happy to hear about the engagement.

Just a day before turning 78, the royal was given the honorary title of Vice Admiral of the United Kingdom by the Royal Navy.

Camilla is the first woman to receive this honorary title. It’s a position that can only be granted by the monarch-in this instance, her husband, King Charles III-following a recommendation from the First Sea Lord, who is presently Sir Gwyn Jenkins.

Just hours before she was scheduled to attend, The Princess of Wales cancelled her planned appearance at Royal Ascot, NBC News reports, according to Kensington Palace.

The palace stated that Kate was saddened to be unable to attend the event. She is still working to find a comfortable level of activity as she resumes public duties after her cancer treatment.

More than a year after being refused extra security by the Royal and VIP Executive Committee, Prince Harry’s legal battle concluded on May 2nd when the courts rejected his claim.

Following their decision to step down as active royals in 2021 and relocate to the United States, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s security arrangements were reduced. Nevertheless, in the subsequent years, Harry made requests for security coverage during trips to the U.K.

Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, shared with the BBC on May 2nd that he was deeply upset about the outcome of his recent legal fight. He stated firmly, “I don’t foresee a situation where I would bring my wife and children back to the UK right now.”

Prince Harry shared with the BBC on May 2nd that King Charles III is currently not speaking to him, explaining it’s “because of this security stuff.” However, he expressed hope, stating “it would be nice to reconcile.”

Prince Harry, also known as the Duke of Sussex, has expressed a desire to rebuild his relationship with his family, with whom he shares his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. However, he indicated that the decision of whether or not to reconcile ultimately rests with his father.

He stated, “I don’t foresee a situation where I would return to the U.K. with my wife and children right now.” He added, “It’s truly upsetting that I won’t have the opportunity to show my children where I grew up.”

Harry explained, “My father has a lot of influence and power, and ultimately, he could be the one to solve this.” He continued, “He doesn’t even need to get directly involved – simply by stepping back and letting the professionals handle things and continue their work, the issue could be resolved.”

After many years of fighting, he is now seeking peace and a chance to make amends. He explained, “Life is valuable, and I’m not sure how much time my father has left.”

More than a year after King Charles revealed he had cancer, he wrote on April 29 that going through his health challenges and cancer treatment has shown him “the very best of humanity.” It’s been an experience that really highlighted the good in people.

In a booklet created to offer support to people facing cancer, Charles explained that receiving a diagnosis, or learning about a new case, can be incredibly challenging and scary for patients and their families. However, speaking from personal experience, he added that it can also reveal the kindness and strength within people. “As one among those statistics myself, I can vouch for the fact that it can also be an experience that brings into sharp focus the very best of humanity.”

I also wanted to express my sincere gratitude to all the healthcare professionals who supported me throughout this experience. It’s truly given me an even greater respect for the incredible work done by the amazing organizations and people in this room tonight – many of whom I’ve had the pleasure of knowing, visiting, and supporting over the years. It’s humbling to witness their dedication, and I’m so grateful for everything they do. It really puts things into perspective, doesn’t it? Their commitment is inspiring, and I feel lucky to be able to support their efforts. Healthcare heroes are truly special.

On April 20, Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis were absent from the royal family’s traditional Easter service held at St George’s Chapel in Windsor.

King Charles III and Queen Camilla joined the rest of the royal family in celebrations, but William and Kate chose to spend the weekend with their children at their country home in Norfolk, according to several news sources.

This was the second Easter they missed. It happened just a week after the Princess of Wales shared news of her cancer diagnosis.

Jason Knauf was appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Prince William’s environmental initiative, The Earthshot Prize, on April 15th. In a statement published on the organization’s website, he expressed his excitement about “working with our exceptional team and incredible Earthshot community to further our goal of hopeful and immediate action for the planet.”

He received a promotion almost seven years after he raised concerns about Meghan Markle, claiming she had bullied two personal assistants and attempted to undermine another staff member. A representative for the Sussexes refuted these claims, telling The Times that the stories were part of a “calculated smear campaign” fueled by false and damaging information.

As a long-time follower of the Royal Family, I was very concerned when these allegations surfaced. Thankfully, Buckingham Palace did look into everything. However, the investigation was concluded in 2022, and disappointingly, no details or findings were ever released to the public. It’s a bit frustrating not knowing what, if anything, was discovered, but I respect that they handled it internally. You can find more information about the Royal Family here.

William and Kate’s eldest son George attended a soccer match in Paris alongside his dad April 7.

The father and son looked very happy while attending the UEFA Champions League Quarter Final match between Paris Saint-Germain and Aston Villa FC, which was held at the Parc des Princes stadium.

Oh my gosh, I was *devastated* to hear about Graham Craker! He was such a legend – he actually protected Prince Harry and Prince William! Can you believe it? He passed away in April at 77. It just doesn’t seem real. He was a true hero to me, always keeping them safe. I’m going to miss him so much.

Craker was with the boys when they found out their mother, Princess Diana, had passed away, and he took part in the services honoring her memory.

Regarding this, Craker shared with The New York Post in 2017, “I was at the back of the hearse, and William glanced up and recognized me. I looked at him and nodded. William felt reassured knowing I was with his mother during her last trip.”

Hugh Grosvenor, the godson of King Charles III, and his wife, Olivia Grosvenor, shared the happy news on March 12th that they are expecting their first child.

A spokesperson announced to The Telegraph that the duchess is due to give birth in the summer. The couple expressed their joy about the pregnancy and shared their excitement about beginning their family life together.

Prince Frederik-the son of Prince Robert and Princess Julie-passed away on March 1st at the age of 22 following a struggle with PolG mitochondrial disease, which is a rare inherited condition.

Robert stated, “Frederik is like a Superhero to me, just as he is to our whole family and countless friends, and now, thanks to his PolG Foundation, to a huge number of people globally.” He continued, “A key part of what made Frederik special was his talent for inspiring others and leading through his own actions.”

On January 22nd, Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, reached an agreement with News Group Newspapers-the publisher of The Sun and the now-closed News of the World-resolving a lawsuit he filed in 2019. The suit claimed that journalists and private investigators working for the newspapers illegally obtained information about the royal family.

The agreement involved the company paying significant compensation and offering a complete and clear apology to Harry, along with publicly recognizing the widespread media attention and severe invasion of privacy he and Diana, Princess of Wales experienced, according to NBC News.

On January 14th, The Princess of Wales shared the wonderful news that her cancer treatment has been completed and she is now in remission.

I’m relieved to be in remission and continuing to focus on getting better,” she wrote on X, previously known as Twitter, on January 14. “Like anyone who’s faced a cancer diagnosis, it’s taking time to adjust to life as it is now.”

She went on to say, “I’m really excited about the year to come, and I think it will be a good one.” She added, “There’s a lot to be optimistic about.”

As someone who’s always championed animal rescue, it truly breaks my heart to share that my sweet beagle, who I adopted back in 2015, has passed away. He was such a special part of my life, even before I met Prince Harry. He was a rescue, and giving a loving home to animals in need is something I’m deeply passionate about. Losing a pet is never easy, and my thoughts are with anyone who’s experienced that pain. You can learn more about animal rescue organizations like the ASPCA if you’re considering adding a furry friend to your family. It’s a truly rewarding experience.

On January 7th, she shared a post on Instagram saying, “I’ve cried so much – countless tears. The kind of tears that make you want to stand under the shower, hoping the water will wash away the pain or make you believe it’s not real. But it is there, and that’s alright too.”

Oh my gosh, seriously, thank you for *everything* over the years, my sweet Guy! I just… I can’t even begin to explain how much you’ve meant to me. You’ve filled my life in ways you’ll never know. It’s just… everything. I’m completely obsessed, obviously!

Edward “Ed” Pettifer-the stepson of Alexandra Pettifer (also known as Tiggy Legge-Bourke), who previously worked as a nanny for Prince William and Prince Harry-was tragically killed in the New Year’s Day terrorist attack in New Orleans.

“Catherine and I have been shocked and saddened by the tragic death of Ed Pettifer,” William said in a message posted on Kate Middleton’s Instagram Stories Jan. 4. “Our thoughts and prayers remain with the Pettifer family and all those innocent people who have been tragically impacted by this horrific attack.”

The Suits actress-who closed her personal social media accounts right before marrying Prince Harry in 2018-launched her own Instagram account on January 1st.

The next day, she revealed a new Netflix show called With Love, Meghan. A statement explained that the series “reinvents lifestyle shows by combining helpful tips and honest chats with both familiar and new friends.”

In June 2025, Kate and William made a special appearance with their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, at Wimbledon. It was a rare public outing for the family.

It’s wonderful to be back in SW19 for the finals of this year’s @wimbledon Championships this weekend,” the family shared in an Instagram post. “Congratulations again to @iga.swiatek and @janniksin on winning! We also want to express a huge thank you to everyone who helped make the tournament so special.”
