Katie Bates and Travis Clark are embracing a new beginning.
Over two months after Kelly Jo Bates’ husband confessed to infidelity, the couple publicly reconciled by attending an Easter church service with their children on April 5th.
Katie shared a sweet photo on Instagram of her family: herself, Travis, 18-month-old Harvey, and 3-year-old Hailey. They all wore matching pink and blue outfits, and Katie was holding Harvey while she and Travis each held Hailey’s hand. Katie especially loved Harvey’s wide-brimmed hat, calling it her “new favorite thing.”
The reality star posted a photo from the Easter service and included a message saying, “Hope everyone had a great Easter Sunday.”
Travis, age 25, admitted to being unfaithful to his wife just one day after she experienced a miscarriage. He publicly shared on Instagram that his actions had broken her trust repeatedly.
I’ve been following Travis’s journey, and it’s been really admirable to see him working on rebuilding trust with his wife. He’s been openly sharing what he’s learned from his mistakes and how his actions affected their relationship, which is a huge step towards healing. It takes real courage to be that vulnerable and prioritize mending things after infidelity.
He shared in an Instagram post on March 3rd that the past few months have been a learning experience. He’s been working hard on himself, going to therapy, and focusing on his faith. While he doesn’t feel entitled to anything, he’s committed to doing everything he can for his wife and family, and he appreciates the prayers people have sent their way.

Katie has also tried to repair her marriage, including a four-day therapy session she participated in back in February.
She explained on Instagram that she didn’t feel capable of dealing with the situation alone and that seeking support was crucial. She added that she needed to address her own well-being in order to be able to focus on other things effectively.
Okay, so Katie said she’s still figuring out exactly how much she wants to reveal about everything she’s been going through, which, honestly, is totally fair! But then she said something that just melted my heart – she thanked everyone for all the kindness and grace, and said it really meant a lot to her. Seriously, it was the sweetest thing ever, and I’m just so glad people are being supportive. I’m dying to know more, but I respect her boundaries, and that little thank you just makes me adore her even more!

William “Gil” Bates, a wrestling champion from South Carolina, met his future wife, Kelly Callaham, while both were students at Anderson University. Kelly was tutoring Gil in chemistry when they began dating. They got engaged in October 1987 while finishing their studies at Carson-Newman University in Tennessee, and married just two months later. Although they didn’t plan on having a large family, they chose not to use birth control, trusting that God would determine how many children they had. Gil later told Dateline in 2011 that they initially expected to have only two or three children.
Their first child, Zachary Bates, was born shortly after their wedding, and in 2012, they welcomed their 19th child, a son named Jeb Bates. Kelly jokes that her husband, Gil, who owns Bates Tree Service, is better at remembering all of their children’s names than she is.

Zachary Duggar, born December 30, 1988, was homeschooled along with his siblings and studied at Bill Gothard’s Institute in Basic Life Principles. While his early courtship with Sarah Reith was featured on 19 Kids and Counting, he ultimately fell in love with Whitney Perkins, whom he met while she was working as a carhop at Sonic. They began courting in 2013 and were married that December, with John-David Duggar as one of the groomsmen. Together, they have six children: Bradley (born October 2014), Kaci (born June 2016), Khloé (born November 2019), Jayden (born June 2021), Lily Jo (born August 2023), and another baby due in 2026.
Besides his work with the family history company, Zachary has also been a police officer, a county commissioner, and a real estate agent.

Born on January 23, 1990, just thirteen months after her brother, Michaela Bates Keilen developed a knack for sewing at a young age, often making dresses for her family and helping with the laundry. She and her future husband, Brandon Keilen, dated for two years before he could propose – waiting until he finished bible college – and they became engaged in April 2015.
After getting married in Chicago that August, the couple faced challenges trying to have children. Michaela openly shared their fertility journey on her blog and YouTube channel. Following a miscarriage in 2021, they decided to become foster parents to two young boys.

Erin Bates Pain, born on May 2, 1991, shared with People magazine that she has only positive memories of her upbringing. Reflecting on her childhood, she said her parents raised her well and created wonderful memories.
Growing up without a television wasn’t a loss, she explained. Instead, her family spent that time playing with their dad, enjoying games together, and creating lasting memories. She believes this actually made them more resourceful and intelligent.
After marrying Charles “Chad” Stephen Paine III in 2013, they quickly hoped to have a large family. Unfortunately, a blood clotting disorder caused several miscarriages before they welcomed their first child, Carson, in May 2015. They went on to have Brooklyn (August 2016), Everly (May 2018), Holland (November 2019), and Finley (January 2022). Despite believing they couldn’t have any more children, they were surprised and delighted to welcome William in October 2023 and Henry in August 2025. Following Henry’s birth, Erin experienced septic shock, and Chad shared on Instagram, asking for prayers for her recovery.
In October, she shared that she had started walking again, posting on Instagram about how even though her steps were a bit unsteady, she wasn’t sure she’d be able to walk again at one point.

Lawson Bates, born on July 27, 1992, showed entrepreneurial spirit by starting his lawn care business, Lawson’s Lawncare, when he was just 13 years old. He gained some attention after interacting with Jana Duggar on Instagram, but later announced his engagement to Tiffany Espensen. He proposed during a trip to Italy in October 2021. Bates told People magazine that getting to know Espensen – her personality, interests, and goals – had been the best experience of his life, and they’d created many great memories together over the past year.
The couple got married on a yacht near San Diego in May 2022. They sadly experienced a miscarriage before welcoming their first son, William, in July 2024. Shortly after, they announced they were expecting another baby, and welcomed their second son, Theodore, in December 2025.

Nathan Bates was born on August 29, 1993. He first became known to viewers through his courtship with Ashley Salyer on the show Bringing Up Bates, but he later proposed to Esther Keyes in May 2021. They married in October of the same year, following a family tradition of sharing their first kiss at the wedding ceremony. A year later, they welcomed their daughter, Kenna, and then their son, Graham, in October 2024. Nathan felt called to be a preacher from a young age and has pursued that calling through mission trips and work as a first responder.

Alyssa Bates Webster, born on November 9, 1994, played a key role in her family, handling secretarial duties, shopping for clothes, and often preparing meals. She met John Webster while working on the campaign for U.S. Representative Daniel Webster in Florida. After becoming engaged in January 2014, with a celebration at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse in Orlando, they married in May of the same year. The couple, who live in Florida, have five children: Alli, born in April 2015, Lexi (January 2017), Zoey (March 2018), Maci (February 2021), and Rhett (March 2023).

Oh my goodness, Tori Bates Smith! She arrived just a year after her big sister, on December 20th, 1995, and I’ve been following her life ever since! It was so exciting when she started dating Bobby Smith back in 2016 – we got to see their whole romance unfold on the family’s show! They didn’t waste any time, getting married in December 2017. Then came the babies! First, Robert IV in November 2018, then Kolter in May 2020, and sweet Charlotte in June 2021. They just kept adding to the family with Cambree in August 2022 and little Weston in May 2024! And get this – they announced on Instagram that baby number six is due in March 2026! I seriously can’t keep up, but I’m SO happy for them!

Trace Bates, whose name means “harvester of the white fields,” was born on February 1, 1997. He met his future wife, Lydia Romeike, after being introduced by his sister, Josie Bates Balka, following a previous televised courtship with Chaney Kahle. The couple announced their engagement on YouTube in March 2022, with Trace sharing that Lydia was his best friend and the most positive influence in his life. They married in October 2022 in front of 350 guests, including Jason Duggar, who was an usher. Their son, Ryker, was born in October 2023, and they welcomed their daughter, Kaia, in June 2025.

Carlin Bates Stewart was born on April 11, 1998, and she graduated high school with her brother, Trace, after taking college courses while still in high school. Her sister, Erin, introduced her to Evan Stewart, and they got engaged in September 2018. They married in May 2019, with Joy-Anna Duggar Forsyth as a bridesmaid, and welcomed their daughter, Layla, in January 2020—the birth was shown on Bringing Up Bates. Their son, Zade, was born in March 2022, and they announced the arrival of their third child, daughter Navy Kate, in September 2025.

Gil and Kelly welcomed their tenth child on August 4, 1999. She later met Kelton Balka at a piano recital in 2014, and they became friends. Their relationship turned romantic in 2017, and they got engaged in June 2018 – the proposal was even filmed! They married that October, also with cameras rolling. Their first daughter, Willow, was born in July 2019, followed by Hazel in June 2021. In February 2024, they welcomed their son, Miles, and announced another baby was on the way in April 2025. Their son, Brooks, arrived in December of that year.

Katie Bates Clark was born on October 5, 2000, and her name means “pure grace.” She announced she was engaged to Travis Clark in a Facebook Live video in 2019, and they married in December 2021. Katie and Travis have two children: daughter Hailey, born in February 2023, and son Harvey, born in September 2024. A licensed cosmetologist after graduating from The Crown College, Katie works as a stylist for her sister Josie’s company, Effortless Beauty, and also models for Bates Sisters Boutique.
In January 2026, Travis publicly admitted on Instagram that he had been unfaithful to his wife. He explained he had an affair and betrayed her trust multiple times, taking full responsibility for his actions and stating there was no justification for what he’d done.
Katie admitted a few days later that her trust had been damaged, but she still believed in God’s ability to heal things and expressed a strong desire to save her marriage.

Jackson Bates, along with Warden and Isaiah Bates (often referred to as the ‘three musketeers’), was born on February 17, 2002. He met his future wife, Emerson Wells, at a rodeo in Florida and they announced their engagement in March 2023. They married in October of that year, with Jason Duggar as a groomsman, and welcomed their son, David, in July 2025.

Born on May 19, 2003, Warden is known as “Tigger” because he’s always full of energy and loves to bounce around. He enjoys playing sports and singing, and has worked hard, helping both his dad’s excavating company and his brother-in-law Chad’s construction business, Paine Construction.

The third member of the team joined on October 16, 2004. After graduating from Crown College with a certificate in Christian foundations in 2023, and working for his father and brother-in-law Chad, he started his own lawn care business in 2022.

Addalee Bates was born prematurely on February 17, 2006, and spent time in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) due to breathing problems. She also wears hearing aids. Her parents intentionally added extra letters to her name as a reminder of the second chance she was given. In 2025, she finished a year-long bible study program.

Ellie Bates, whose name means “strong light,” became part of the team on April 28, 2007. She frequently models for photos used by Bates Sisters Boutique.

I’ve been following the Bates family for years, and I was so happy to hear about the arrival of their youngest daughter, Callie-Anna, born on August 2nd, 2009. Kelly, her mom, often shares updates, and she recently described Callie-Anna as the most lively and outgoing of all her kids. She even said people are naturally drawn to Callie-Anna – she just has that kind of magnetic personality!

Kelly wrote on Instagram in December 2020 that Jud Bates has grown up incredibly quickly since arriving on September 15, 2010. He’s faced a couple of challenges, including breaking his right collarbone twice—once while playing football and again while riding his e-bike.

I remember being so touched when Jeb Bates arrived on February 1, 2012. He did need a little extra care in the NICU, but it just made his arrival even more special. Gil Bates actually told People magazine how he felt just as excited and nervous about Jeb as he did with their very first child! It’s amazing how every baby brings that same feeling, even after nineteen kids.
