Katy Perry is already brushing off the dust.
During her Lifetimes tour concert on July 18 at San Francisco’s Chase Center, the performer known for “Firework” had a terrifying moment when she came close to losing her balance while suspended high above the ground on a large, airborne butterfly prop.
On July 19th, a video was posted where Katy, who recently ended her nine-year relationship with Orlando Bloom, unexpectedly paused performing her popular song “Roar”. This pause occurred when a prop overhead, apparently due to a problem with the wiring, appeared to unexpectedly drop a few feet.
Overcome with fear in my eyes, I clung tight to the delicate wings of the butterfly-prop for balance as it swayed wildly from a sudden jolt. However, once it seemed to find its footing again, I lifted my hand to assure everyone I was alright and resumed singing the rest of the song with an air of elegance.
A short while later, the 40-year-old woman humorously posted a close-up image of her frightened expression from her Instagram Stories, accompanied by the message, “Goodnight San Francisco.
Indeed, given her background as a mother of a 4-year-old girl named Daisy Dove with her separated spouse, Katy is well-versed in adapting gracefully to challenges while on stage.
At a recent concert in Australia, the performer known for “California Gurls” was hoisted above the crowd in a large, metallic orb, as captured in a video posted on X. However, it appeared that the prop became unbalanced, causing her to cling tightly to the supporting cables to avoid a fall.
During her time as a judge on American Idol, she encountered some unforeseen technical issues while broadcasting live.
In a chat with TopMob News last April, Katy expressed that every season something gets damaged – be it falling off, breaking, or tearing. Yet, it seems to delight them. So, she suggested, let’s cater to their preferences and continue providing what they seem to enjoy.
“I have nothing to lose,” she added, “besides my top.”
Not only that, but Beyoncé has also encountered a similar challenging incident during her performances. Specifically, during the initial shows of the “Cowboy Carter” series held at Houston’s NRG Stadium last month.
As she belted out “16 Carriages,” the Grammy winner seemed to get momentarily stalled when her car, hovering over the audience, started tilting mid-flight.
In a video posted on TikTok on June 28, she suddenly halted her singing mid-flow, and began repeatedly saying “Stop, stop, stop” into the microphone until she was securely lowered to the middle of the stadium.
“If ever I fall,” she quipped after returning to the stage, “I know y’all would catch me.”

It seems there was some confusion: Cardi B, as we all know, doesn’t appreciate being splashed with drinks. During a performance at Drai’s Beachclub in Las Vegas on July 2023, someone from the front row accidentally spilled their drink onto her while she was performing. In response, Cardi threw her microphone.
Following the concert, an unidentified woman reported a battery incident to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department the next day. However, they stated that no arrests or citations have been made yet. In August 2023, Cardi’s legal team informed TMZ that the police have decided not to press charges against her.
As a devoted admirer, I wholeheartedly believe that Bebe Rexha is in for an unforgettable, fantastic evening, regardless of the circumstances. In an unfortunate incident at her June 2023 show in NYC, someone tossed a phone at her, causing an injury to my idol. She bravely shared a photo of her affected eye on social media with the message, “I’m good.”
Lawyer Todd A Spodek, representing Nicolas Malvagna, who was apprehended and accused of assault, explained to TMZ that Malvagna, as a fan, merely intended to have Bebe Rexha snap photos with his phone as a cherished memento. It was never his intention to cause her harm.
Kelsea Ballerini wasn’t particularly amused when someone chucked jewelry onto the stage during her June 2023 show in Idaho. She shared on Instagram Stories a few days later that a bracelet was thrown at her, hitting her in the eyes. The incident scared her more than it caused pain.
Ava Max made it clear that the man who assaulted her during an L.A. performance in June 2023 is not a nice person. She shared her experience on Twitter, writing that he hit her so hard that he scratched the inside of her eye. She stated that he will never be allowed to attend one of her shows again.
In 2023, during my performance at London’s British Summer Time Festival, a stranger handed me a wheel of Brie, which I found quite endearing. I exclaimed, “What the heck!”, as I accepted the dairy. “I’d love to plant a kiss on your lips.”
However, the following day, another fan threw a bag of ashes at me. Upon receiving it, I questioned, “Is this your mother?” I was unsure about the emotions this action evoked in me.
In the midst of my fangirl excitement during Harry Styles’ Love on Tour, it seems like I wasn’t the only one tossing items onto the stage – even a bag of Skittles made an appearance during the 2022 show in Los Angeles! At a February 2022 concert, Billie Eilish was the recipient of an unconventional stage item when a fan threw a pair of fake breasts at her. friends, let me clarify, Kid Cudi had previously warned the audience during his 2022 Rolling Loud performance that if they continued to throw objects on stage, he would depart. True to his words, shortly after being hit by another item, he decided to exit the stage.
Fans of Ariana Grande felt disappointed when a lemon was thrown at her during her Coachella performance in 2019. Despite not being thrilled about it, she handled the situation gracefully, joking to the audience, “One of you guys threw a lemon at me, that’s ridiculous.
