Katy Perry’s most enduring romantic connection has been with Orlando Bloom, who starred in Pirates of the Caribbean. The two started dating in 2016, and he proposed to her in February 2019 after a series of on-and-off encounters.

After about ten years together, Us Weekly announced in June 2025 that Katy Perry was single once more. A source shared with Us that “Katy naturally feels sad but is grateful to no longer endure another divorce, as that was the most difficult period of her life,” following the news of Perry and Bloom’s separation.

However, after almost a decade together, it was confirmed by Us Weekly in June 2025 that Perry was single once more. A source revealed that while Perry is saddened by the split, she is grateful to have avoided another divorce, as that period was the most challenging time in her life.

Johnny Lewis

From 2005 to 2006, Perry was in a relationship with the actor who starred on “Sons of Anarchy”. This was a year before her singing career gained momentum. Tragically, Lewis passed away at the age of 28 following a fall from a rooftop in September 2012.

Travie McCoy

Perry, lead singer of Gym Class Heroes, dated from 2007 to 2008. When MTV News inquired about her breakup with McCoy in early 2009, she hinted that her career had become more important than her love life. “Well, it’s a new year, and I’m very focused,” Perry stated then.

Josh Groban

There were whispers that Perry and Groban were romantically involved back in early 2009. However, representatives of both artists refuted any romantic involvement at the time. Later on, Groban hinted that there may have been something more than friendship between him and the singer of “California Gurls” at some point.

In 2013, he stated to Details magazine, “We may have flirted with the boundaries of dating.” More recently, during a YouTube live broadcast, Perry made light of the situation by saying, “Groban was the one who slipped through my fingers.

John Mayer

In 2012, Perry and the singer known for “Daughters” began dating, but they separated in 2014. They attempted to reconcile in 2015, but their relationship didn’t last long.
