Keeley Hawes, the British actress, will be joining the cast of the new Lara Croft TV series, bringing her back to the Tomb Raider franchise.
Keeley Hawes began her work with the Tomb Raider series in 2006, early in her acting career, by providing the voice for Lara Croft in the popular video game, Tomb Raider: Legend.
I’m so thrilled she’s still bringing this beloved character to life! She’s been voicing her in video games for years, and the newest one just came out last year, in 2025.
Since then, Hawes has become a successful television actress, appearing in popular shows like Upstairs, Downstairs, Spooks, Ashes to Ashes, and most recently, The Assassin. She’s also been nominated for a BAFTA award three times for her work in Line of Duty and The Bodyguard.
A new Tomb Raider TV show is coming to Amazon Prime Video, and it’s being made by Phoebe Waller-Bridge with a talented cast.

Sophie Turner, known for her role in Game of Thrones, will star as Lara Croft. The series will also feature veteran actors Sigourney Weaver as Evelyn Wallis, Jason Isaacs as Atlas DeMornay, Celia Imrie as Francine, and Bill Paterson as Winston.
Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Bill Paterson have collaborated before, notably on the popular BBC series Fleabag, where Paterson played the father of Waller-Bridge’s character.
Sources have confirmed that actress Hawes will appear in the upcoming Amazon Prime series, following sightings of her on set. A photo from the filming location showed her wearing a trench coat and brown heeled boots, and surprisingly, carrying a shopping bag from Marks & Spencer.
Although it hasn’t been officially announced, many fans believe the actress might be playing Lady Amelia Croft, Lara Croft’s mother and the Countess of Abbingdon, in the upcoming series.
Paterson Joseph, Martin Bobb-Semple, and Jack Bannon will also be starring in the new series.
Filming for the Amazon Prime series just started, meaning viewers probably won’t see it until 2027, or possibly even later.
