Keith Urban Keeps Nicole Kidman Family Photo in First Show Since Split

Keith Urban is no longer making memories with Nicole Kidman.

Just three days after it was announced that the country singer and his wife of nearly 20 years were separating, Keith returned to performing live in Hershey, Pennsylvania. This was part of his current High and Alive World Tour. However, this change in his personal life doesn’t mean he’s distancing himself from the people he cares about. He still values his loved ones and continues to lean on them for support. It was a significant return to the stage given the recent personal news.

During the Oct. 2 show, a photo featuring Nicole and their two daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret,14, was kept in a preexisting slideshow, per People, that plays during Keith’s performance of “Heart Like a Hometown.”

A few days before, at Keith’s concert on September 27th, he surprised people by altering the words to his song “The Fighter,” a song written about his relationship with Nicole.

Originally, the lyrics were, “When they’re tryna get to you, baby I’ll be the fighter,” but he changed them to specifically acknowledge musician Maggie Baugh, who was performing with him.

“When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie,” the 57-year-old sang, “I’ll be your guitar player.”

Maggie subsequently posted a video of the incident on her Instagram. The 25-year-old added the sideways-glancing eye emoji and wrote, “Did he just say that?

Keith, for his part, had previously shared insight into his inspiration for the 2016 track.

He explained to People in 2017 that the song came together quickly. “I basically just reflected on Nic and me, and how our relationship started, remembering some of our early conversations,” he said. “Everything ended up in that song.”

Even as Keith performs on stage while going through his separation, Nicole-who shares daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, with Keith-was seen in public for the first time, enjoying a peaceful hike with her sister Antonia Kidman.

On October 1st, photos published by the Daily Mail showed the Big Little Lies star-who officially started divorce proceedings on September 30th-keeping a low profile. She wore black leggings, a gray zip-up sweatshirt, and sneakers for her outing in Nashville. The 58-year-old completed her outfit with a gray hat and black sunglasses.

Although neither Nicole nor Keith have made any public statements regarding their separation, TopMob News has discovered that the decision to split was not mutual. Sources say the Oscar-winning actress did not initiate the divorce from the singer of “Blue Ain’t Your Color.”

However, sources at TopMob discovered that the couple had split at the start of the summer. Nicole was looking after their daughters at the family home, while Keith was living in a different house in Nashville.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban quietly separated and began living separately around the start of summer, according to TopMob News. Several significant events throughout the summer then contributed to their eventual decision to file for divorce.

His High and Alive World Tour began in Alabama, and he spent the summer touring throughout the U.S., Canada, and Australia.

They were last seen together in public at the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 in Nashville, and witnesses described them laughing and smiling.

To celebrate their 19th wedding anniversary in June, Kidman shared a picture of the couple with the message, “Happy Anniversary Baby.” Urban responded with a heart emoji, but he didn’t make a post himself.

People were surprised when the country singer suddenly stopped an interview after a question about the chemistry between Kidman and Zac Efron in the movie A Family Affair.

A radio host on Australia’s Mix 102.3’s Hayley & Max in the Morning said, “Considering your wife, Nicole Kidman, is constantly appearing in so many successful movies and TV shows, I was wondering: what does Keith Urban think when he sees her in romantic scenes with younger actors like Zac Efron on TV and radio?”

Suddenly, Urban disappeared from the call.

“He’s no longer connected to Zoom,” a radio employee mentioned. “It seems his team ended the call, likely because they didn’t want us to bring up that question.”

His rep didn’t respond to TopMob’s request for comment at the time.

Sources at TopMob News have discovered that the Practical Magic actress has applied for residency in Portugal. Her husband, Urban, is also planning to do the same.

According to a source familiar with the matter, Keith couldn’t attend the appointment in Portugal because he’s currently touring the U.S.. TopMob was informed that applying for the visa requires applicants to be physically present. He plans to submit his application when his tour schedule allows.

At the time, the source said both planned to maintain a permanent residence in Nashville as well.

In an interview, the couple’s oldest daughter, Sunday Rose, described how her parents parent, explaining that they have “two big rules” at home.

She explained to Nylon that she faced two limitations: she wasn’t allowed to pursue fashion-related jobs until she turned 16, and school always had to be her priority. “At first, I didn’t like that rule,” she said, “but now I’m grateful for those boundaries because they help me stay focused and positive.”

Nicole Kidman posted some photos on Sunday reminiscing about her summer with her daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret. However, her husband wasn’t featured in the Instagram post.

“Summer memories,” the actress wrote. “Now back to school.”

In August, her attorney drafted a Child Support Worksheet as part of a Parenting Plan, which indicated that Kidman and Urban would share joint custody of their daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.

However, the Oscar-winning actor was officially designated as the main parent the children lived with. The girls spent 306 days each year with their mother and 59 days with their father (Keith Urban will have the children every other weekend).

Neither will pay child support, according to the doc obtained by TopMob News.

The parents will maintain a loving, stable, and supportive relationship with their child, even after their divorce, it stated. They will refrain from speaking negatively about each other or anyone in the other parent’s family. They will also encourage each child to continue loving both parents and feel at ease within both families.

Urban finalized their divorce agreement, having it officially notarized in August, according to documents obtained by TopMob News.

As a longtime follower of their relationship, I was heartbroken to read the official statement. It said Nicole Kidman would be “institute divorce proceedings against” Tom, citing irreconcilable differences. What really struck me, though, was that the document also clearly stated that neither of them would be receiving alimony or spousal support in the divorce. It seemed like a very business-like and final decision.

The same date, he also signed off on the Parenting Plan.

One week after Urban, the actress also had the Marital Dissolution Agreement officially notarized and signed the Parenting Plan.

On the same day, a judge approved an order requiring both celebrities to attend a required parenting class, unless they request an exception, according to documents obtained by TopMob News.

Even though she had already signed the legal papers, she continued to wear her engagement ring when she attended an event at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles.

The split between the couple made news, with TopMob News reporting that they-who began dating in 2005-had ended their relationship privately.

The Big Little Lies actress has formally requested a divorce, stating that they separated on the day she filed the paperwork: September 30, 2025.

They officially filed their Marital Dissolution Agreement and Parenting Plan with a Tennessee court on the same day for approval.
