Kelly Osbourne Responds to Claim Dad Ozzy Osbourne Is Dying

Kelly Osbourne isn’t mincing words when it comes to defending her family.

In the midst of rumors swirling online about his father’s health deteriorating quickly, the “Changes” singer openly addressed and clarified the situation.

On her Instagram Stories on July 11, Kelly shared that a video circulating on social media is allegedly of her father, but she believes it’s AI-generated. The voice in the video sounds like her father or David Attenborough, and the message it conveys is chilling: “I don’t need a doctor to tell me that I’m going to die. I know I’m going to die.

She went on, expressing her bewilderment, “Could you explain to me what’s behind such a creation as this video?” or more casually, “I can’t help but wonder, why put in the effort for a project like this?

Despite the fact that the “Crazy Train” singer has been transparent about his struggle with Parkinson’s disease and has mentioned that he can no longer walk, his daughter clarified that he is not at all close to his final moments.

The 40-year-old clarified, “He isn’t passing away. He does have Parkinson’s disease, which affects his movement significantly differently than before, but he’s not on the verge of death. Can’t you understand that?

Regarding whispers about her father’s deteriorating health, the former Osbournes cast member—who got engaged to Sid Wilson during her father’s last Black Sabbath performance this month—also refuted a rumor that she and her mother, Sharon Osbourne, have a suicide agreement.

She stated, “Cease writing articles or comments suggesting that my parents are involved in a suicide agreement. That’s an absurdity my mother once said to seek attention. My father is not near death. Please stop.

In 2017, I found myself delving into the origins of certain rumors following the passing of my father, Don Arden, who had been battling Alzheimer’s since 2007 and was my partner’s (the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer) spouse since 1982.

As a dedicated admirer, I wholeheartedly concur with Ozzy on this matter. We’ve both made the resolve clear, as expressed to The Mirror at one point. Our unwavering faith lies in euthanasia, and should we ever face an illness that impacts our cognitive abilities, we have prepared a plan to seek assistance in a Swiss facility designed for this purpose. If either Ozzy or I were to be afflicted by Alzheimer’s, it would mark the end of our journey together—we’d choose to depart peacefully.

From the moment my father reentered my life in 2002 until the day he passed away in July, I witnessed his struggle. There’s simply no way I could endure what he experienced, or subject my children to such hardship.

Originally hailing from Birmingham, England, the heavy metal icon known as Ozzy Osbourne (born John Michael Osbourne in 1948) found fame some two decades later when his band, Black Sabbath, debuted. The group included Ozzy alongside Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward.

In 1971, Ozzy tied the knot with Thelma Riley, welcoming children Louis and Jessica Osbourne into the world along with Thelma’s son Elliot Kingsley from a previous relationship. However, he soon discovered that fame had its downsides.

As he admitted in the 2020 documentary “Biography: The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne,” his addiction to alcohol and drugs led him to act inappropriately. In 1979, he was dismissed from Black Sabbath and embarked on a solo career. He divorced Thelma the same year and married Sharon Osbourne (whose father managed Black Sabbath) shortly afterward.

Throughout their marriage, Ozzy and Sharon have been transparent about their struggles, such as his physical assault of her while under the influence in 1989 and the 2016 separation attributed to infidelity. Despite these challenges, they welcomed children Aimee, Kelly, and Jack Osbourne in the ’80s and renewed their vows in 2017.

Many of their personal experiences were featured on their reality show “The Osbournes,” which aired from 2002 to 2005.

In recent years, Ozzy has scaled back his public appearances due to health issues, including battling Parkinson’s disease and recovering from injuries sustained in a 2003 ATV accident. Despite these setbacks, he performed at Black Sabbath’s final show in July 2025.

Sharon, born in 1952, took on the role of Ozzy’s manager in 1979 after his departure from Black Sabbath, and their professional relationship quickly evolved into romance. As revealed in “Biography: The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne,” Sharon admitted that she was still married at the time but fell in love with Ozzy.

Besides managing Ozzy, Sharon has represented bands like The Smashing Pumpkins, Motorhead, and The Electric Light Orchestra. However, her career took a turn towards television after the family’s groundbreaking series. Besides starring on “The Osbournes,” she competed on “Celebrity Apprentice,” judged “The X Factor” and “America’s Got Talent,” and hosted “The Talk” for 11 years until her dismissal in 2021.

Like Ozzy, Sharon has been open about her health struggles over the years, including her victory over colon cancer in 2003, a preventive double mastectomy in 2012, and a hospitalization in 2022. Despite life’s highs and lows, the couple continues to be each other’s biggest fans.

As Sharon told TopMob News in 2023, “We’re two oddballs, and we were two wild young people who found each other. I think we’re cut from the same mold. It hasn’t always been easy – no relationship is easy, and you have to work at it. There will be your ugly times, your bad times, and your horrific times. But if you love each other, you’ll find a way to work through them.”

Aimee, born in September 1983, is the eldest child of Ozzy and Sharon, with two other siblings. She shares her parents’ passion for music, performing and composing songs, both individually and as part of the band ARO.

Contrary to her family members, Aimee chose not to appear on ‘The Osbournes’ during the 2000s. In an interview on ‘The Michael Anthony Show’ in 2021, she explained that she found it excessively nepotistic given her awareness of her father’s media presence growing up. Aimee valued preserving her family’s privacy and felt that being a teenager at the time, she didn’t want to lose this or reveal the complexities within the family. Additionally, she felt it wasn’t a suitable career path for her.

Aimee has not entirely shied away from the limelight. She acted in MTV’s 2003 adaptation of ‘Wuthering Heights’, provided voiceovers for the 2014 animated film ‘Postman Pat: The Movie’, and starred in her own music videos.

Regarding her relationship with her siblings, Kelly has mentioned that they do not communicate. In an interview on ‘Armchair Expert With Dax Shepard’ in 2024, she stated, “We don’t talk. We’re just really different. She doesn’t understand me, I don’t understand her.

Kelly, the youngest daughter of Sharon and Ozzy, was born 13 months after her sister. She is a versatile woman, known for acting in shows like “Life as We Know It” and “So Undercover,” singing with albums under her belt, appearing on reality shows such as “The Osbournes” and “Dancing With the Stars,” serving as a judge on “Project Runway: Junior” and “Australia’s Got Talent,” designing, hosting TV series like “Project Catwalk,” TopMob’s “Fashion Police” and “Lego Masters Jr.,” among others.

Throughout her life in the limelight, Kelly has openly discussed her struggles, including her journey with addiction (she is now sober), past relationships (she was previously engaged to model Luke Worrall and chef Matthew Mosshart), and public criticism of her body. In an interview with Us Weekly in 2024, she expressed gratitude for her life’s experiences, stating, “My life has come very far, and I am just so grateful for every mistake that I made in my life, for every lesson learned, for all of it.”

Kelly’s life today includes her son Sidney, born in November 2022, and her fiancé Sid Wilson, who proposed in July 2025. Speaking to Us Weekly, she mentioned that Sidney, who arrived 18 months after she got sober, played a significant role in her transformation, stating, “I truly believe that my baby saved me and made me a whole human.” She added, “I don’t think I knew what love was before having the baby. I don’t think I truly had a purpose. I just went from thing, to thing, to thing, and this level of just self-hate and self-doubt that I used to have would take me out.

Born in November 1985, Sharon and Ozzy’s youngest child Jack made his entrance into the world. After gaining fame on the reality show “The Osbournes,” Jack ventured into acting, securing minor roles on “Dawson’s Creek” and the movie “New York Minute” featuring Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. He also continued to appear on various reality and competition shows, such as “Union Jack,” “Jack Osbourne: Adrenaline Junkie,” “Dancing With the Stars,” and “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.”

In addition to acting, Jack has worked behind the camera, producing documentaries like “God Bless Ozzy Osbourne” in 2011 and the 2013 series “Alpha Dogs.” He often combines these roles, both producing and starring in shows like “Ozzy & Jack’s World Detour” and his paranormal series “Portals to Hell.”

Jack has been open with his fans about his personal life, including his battles with mental health, sobriety, and multiple sclerosis, which he revealed in 2012. In an interview with “Today” in 2017, Jack said, “I look at the diagnosis as a huge silver lining to be honest with you.” Before his diagnosis, he would spend his days leisurely; now, he’s always busy, working or socializing. He appreciates the diagnosis for making him more productive and purposeful.

Jack is also thankful for his family, which includes daughters Pearl, Andy, Minnie with ex-wife Lisa Stelly, and daughter Maple with wife Aree Gearheart.

Growing up with my legendary dad was quite unique, as he’d be away for extended stretches, returning home to readjust before settling back into routine, only to depart again. This pattern made my childhood rather unpredictable with Dad.

And when he wasn’t off on tour or at the pubs, he could be an amazing father. However, those moments were less frequent than I would have liked.

After my parents’ separation, we managed to stay connected, and I remember an episode of our reality show where I called Dad to share the joyous news that I had become a first-time grandfather. Louis also shared that he occasionally meets with Aimee, Kelly, and Jack.

Now that I travel less than before, it’s easier for us to cross paths in random New York hotels rather than gathering around a Sunday dinner table. We reunite on special occasions instead.

Despite the distance, Dad makes sure to call me every Sunday afternoon for a heart-to-heart chat, and whenever he visits the UK, we take the kids out to spend time together. He truly cherishes his role as a doting grandad.

Regrettably, not much is known about my brother Elliot’s relationship with Dad publicly.
