Kelly Osbourne is learning how to navigate her grief.
Approximately fifteen days following the death of her father and renowned heavy metal artist Ozzy Osbourne, who was 76 years old on July 22nd, Kelly gave an emotional update on her current state after this heartbreaking event.
Grief is an unexpected and mysterious emotion,” she posted on her Instagram Story August 4th. “It comes and goes like tides, and I won’t be alright for some time. However, knowing that my family isn’t the only one feeling this pain brings a sense of comfort. I’m clinging to the love, the brightness, and the lasting impact we’ve left behind.
To clarify, Kelly mentioned that both Black Sabbath enthusiasts and her father have been instrumental in easing the burden she was carrying.

Every kind word, every cherished memory, every ounce of empathy has touched me more deeply than words can convey.
The 40-year-old concluded, “Thank you for being there. I love you all so much.”

At Ozzy’s public funeral procession on July 30, Kelly, who was with her fiancé Sid Wilson, opted for a pair of wire-framed, reflective sunglasses that were reminiscent of the style Ozzy often wore during his career.
Previously, Kelly had addressed rumors about the Prince of Darkness’ health, stating that despite his Parkinson’s and mobility issues, Ozzy was not near death. Prior to his demise, one of the musician’s siblings, Jean Powell, provided further details on his health status.
Jean shared with The Mirror on July 23 that she found it distressing when John couldn’t maintain his posture during the last Black Sabbath concert they attended together on July 5. Despite his frailty, he was still our John, always making us laugh with his jokes. It was unexpected, but the fact that he was weak didn’t diminish the surprise. He had aspirations and endeavors yet to accomplish.
