Kelly Stafford left nothing out as she narrated a recent incident, which occurred when she decided to personally handle her beauty regimen – quite literally.
During our podcast on Thursday, June 26th, Stafford, who is 36, shared something personal: ‘Approximately three weeks back, I attempted to wax my own private area.’
She mentioned, “I’ve had it waxed in the past – before children and when I had more free time. It’s truly delightful. It’s the best feeling. Nothing compares to a well-groomed bikini area.
Kelly and her spouse, NFL quarterback Matthew Stafford from the Los Angeles Rams, are parents to four girls: twin daughters Sawyer and Chandler, who are both 8 years old, Hunter who is 6, and Tyler, who is 4.
Given her hectic home life, Kelly said, “I thought I could do it on my own.”
“Honestly, it was miserable,” she admitted. “I’ve never been in so much pain.”
Kelly mentioned that she tried the waxing while completely sober, adding humorously that perhaps she could’ve used an edible instead.
“It was hard,” she said. “It was the worst choice I’ve made in a really long time.”
Kelly tried to do a complete “Brazilian” wax on herself, but didn’t quite manage it.
She stated, “In other words, I obtained the first piece,” she said. “I received a few sections initially, and I responded with an affirmative nod… I remained seated for around 20 minutes with only one section left, counting down from three, ‘3, 2, 1,’ but not proceeding. I couldn’t do it. I was thinking, ‘There must be another method to remove this.’
As Kelly worked on the waxing, she mentioned to Matthew, aged 37, that he was downstairs – though always in close proximity to his wife’s thoughts.
She pointed out that an Amazon DIY waxing kit costs around $20. Instead of going elsewhere and spending $50 on a wax, you could save money by doing it yourself at home.
In May, Matthew reached an agreement on a revised contract with the Rams, which means he’s set to make approximately $44 million during the upcoming season.
As for why Kelly did just opt for laser treatment, she offered a candid explanation.
“Because I’m blonde, not that everybody needs to know that,” Kelly offered.
Ultimately, Kelly learned a valuable lesson at the end of her home waxing adventure.
“I get why people have bushes,” she said bluntly. “I get it.”
During the show, Kelly was usually quite forthcoming, but she made it clear that she didn’t want everyone to listen to her personal stories about her grooming habits.
Kelly shared on her Instagram Story on Thursday that she needed to inform her father he shouldn’t tune in this week.
