Kelsea Ballerini Shares Message Amid Chase Stokes, Morgan Evans Drama

Kelsea Ballerini knows that cowboys cry too, but she’s over the waterworks.

Following a social media exchange between her former partners, Chase Stokes and Morgan Evans, the singer posted a message suggesting she’s moved past the conflict.

On March 6th, Kelsea posted a message to her Instagram Story asking, “Maybe it’s time for a break for the woman?”

The 31-year-old also shared Lenny Kravitz’s song “It Ain’t Over ‘Til It’s Over” with the post, a song about wondering if a struggling relationship can be saved.

Kelsea shared her post shortly after Chase, age 33, publicly disagreed with Morgan’s statement about being surprised by their divorce. Chase had responded to Morgan in a now-deleted comment on Instagram.

The Outer Banks actor criticized Morgan’s comments from The Bobbycast podcast, calling them a “pathetic excuse of masculinity.” Bobby Bones, the podcast host, shared the clip on Instagram on March 4, and the actor finished with, “Get a life.”

Morgan, who was married to Kelsea from 2017 until their divorce in 2022, seemingly responded to a comment from Chase by posting on Instagram on March 5th, writing, “Feeling pretty masculine today.”

The whole conflict started when Morgan openly talked about how his relationship with Kelsea ended.

I was really shocked by it,” she said on the show earlier this month. “Looking back, that period is just a blur. It feels like it happened to someone else, and I’m just amazed when I think about it now.

And nearly four years later, Morgan called their former couple’s divorce “surreal.”

He explained that everything happened very fast. Once they learned Kelsea wanted a divorce, they quickly got a lawyer, created a prenuptial agreement, had several calls with the lawyer, and signed the documents in the Ryman parking lot while it was raining, before finally going home.

Kelsea has made it clear she’s no longer with her ex, the Australian country singer. She even publicly called out a fan at a December 2025 concert—while singing her song “Penthouse”—after they shouted their support for him.

“F–k off,” she told the fan in a video shared to TikTok at the time. “Team everybody’s happy.”

Morgan and Chase aren’t the only celebrities with public disagreements. Keep reading to discover more famous feuds…

In January 2024, Bobby addressed speculation about a disagreement with Tan, following his announcement in November 2023 that he was leaving Queer Eye after eight seasons. (Bobby is pictured second from left.)

He assured Vanity Fair that he and Tan are doing okay. He explained they went through a personal issue, but it’s separate from their work on the show and wasn’t a romantic matter. He wanted to make that clear.

In March 2024, Tan addressed claims that he tried to get his friend Jeremiah Brent to replace Bobby on the show Queer Eye.

Netflix and the production team held extensive auditions for the role. I didn’t recommend my friend for the part, but they ultimately landed it because they were the most qualified. I also want to clarify that I didn’t help them get the job by having anyone else removed from consideration, as he explained in an Instagram post.

During a September 2023 game of “Stir the Pot” with her daughter, Kelly Osbourne, on TopMob News, Sharon Osbourne revealed that Ashton Kutcher was the rudest celebrity she’d ever encountered. She described him as a very rude and unpleasant person, calling him a “dastardly little thing.”

He did not respond to her remarks publicly.

Five years ago, Sharon shared with Larry King that Ashton seemed upset during his 2014 appearance on The Talk because she had misspoken his name.

She remembered him asking, ‘Who are you and what have you accomplished in this business?’ Her response was blunt: ‘Listen, don’t challenge me, because I’ll completely overwhelm you.’ She added, ‘You have no idea who you’re talking to.’

In August 2022, Cassadee Pope and Maren Morris publicly disagreed with Brittany Aldean, wife of country singer Jason Aldean. This followed a post Brittany shared on Instagram on August 23rd, where she thanked her parents for not allowing her to transition during a phase where she preferred traditionally masculine interests, stating she now enjoys a feminine lifestyle.

In a 2022 TikTok trend, JoJo Siwa called Candace Cameron Bure the “rudest” celebrity she’d met, explaining that Bure once turned down her request for a photo on the red carpet. Shortly after, Candace Cameron Bure apologized, saying she unintentionally hurt JoJo’s feelings when she was younger and regretting not posing for the picture. She expressed her sincere apology to JoJo.

Candace and the other person resolved their differences. However, when asked months later if her network, Great American Family, would ever feature same-sex couples as the main characters in its holiday movies, she said it wouldn’t. She explained that the network would continue to focus on traditional marriage.

JoJo, who publicly shared they are part of the LGBTQ+ community in 2021, responded to the actress’ comment on Instagram, calling it “rude and hurtful to an entire community.”

In June 2021, Courtney Love claimed Olivia Rodrigo had copied the album cover art for her band Hole in a promotional photo without proper credit. Olivia responded with a supportive message, saying “Love u and live through this sooooo much.” Courtney then playfully replied, thanking Olivia and offering to share the contact information for her favorite florist in London, adding that she looked forward to receiving a note.

While on Watch What Happens Live, the actor from Happy Days explained why he and the star of Forrest Gump didn’t get along while filming their 1989 movie, Turner & Hooch.

I directed the film for thirteen days, and then Jeff Katzenberg, the producer, called me into his office and told me to pack up and go home, as I had everything I needed with me.

Winkler and Hanks’ dog seemed to hit it off. “I really loved that dog,” Winkler said, “We got along great.”

He also refused to admit if he’s even seen the flick.

“You know what you did!”

Those who watched The Hills likely recall Lauren’s famous line from the start of season three. The drama between her and Heidi began when Heidi started dating Spencer Pratt. It escalated when Lauren claimed Heidi and Spencer spread a false rumor about her and her then-boyfriend, Jason Wahler, alleging she had made a sex tape.

Tyrese and Dwayne Johnson had a public falling out in 2017 after the release date for Fast & Furious 9 was delayed until April 2020. Tyrese voiced his frustration with Dwayne on Instagram. Interestingly, on the same day, a spin-off movie featuring Dwayne and Jason Statham was announced for 2019. A month later, Tyrese even said he would leave Fast 9 if Dwayne was still involved.

Tyrese recently discussed the conflict with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, telling Van Lathan on the The Red Pill podcast that he still hasn’t spoken to Johnson directly, though they plan to talk. He did, however, speak with one of Johnson’s producing partners, but not Johnson himself.

Tyrese admitted he often ended up speaking for others connected to the film series, but he regretted being the only one to publicly share those opinions, taking full responsibility for it. He acknowledged it wasn’t a professional or appropriate thing to do.

No more bad blood here.

Taylor Swift and Katy Perry were famously feuding for years, with some believing the conflict inspired Swift’s song “Bad Blood.” The disagreement, which began with issues over a dancer and competition during their tours, was resolved when Perry sent Swift an olive branch as a peace offering before Swift’s Reputation Tour began.

Taylor shared in an Instagram video that she found a real olive branch in her dressing room, saying it meant a lot to her.

Taylor captioned the video, “Thank you Katy.”

For years, Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker, stars of Sex and the City, successfully dismissed rumors of a disagreement. However, those rumors resurfaced when Kim chose not to participate in a third movie and subsequently made some pointed remarks about her co-star.

During a September 2017 episode of Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen asked Sarah Jessica Parker how she felt about Kim Cattrall telling Piers Morgan they had only ever been coworkers, not friends.

She was deeply upset, explaining she was “just heartbroken.” They had talked about it all week, and she found it really disturbing because her memory of what happened was completely different.

It’s definitely sad, but I believe what truly connects us is the shared experience we all had. It started as a job, but over the years, it became something deeply personal. I hope that those years of creating something special together, and the connection people felt with it, will ultimately be more important than any recent disagreements. It was a real privilege to be a part of.

And though they didn’t film scenes together, Kim did make a small appearance on And Just Like That.

Elton John and Madonna have been publicly disagreeing since 2004. The conflict began when Elton, while accepting an award, criticized Madonna’s live performances. He famously told the audience that he didn’t believe lip-syncing should be considered a live act, and jokingly suggested that performers who lip-sync during paid concerts shouldn’t be allowed to perform.

The actress, formerly known for her role on Grey’s Anatomy, caused a disagreement with the show’s creator back in 2008 when she asked to be removed from Emmy Award nominations. She explained her decision by saying she didn’t believe the storylines she was given were strong enough to deserve an award.

Oh my gosh, I was absolutely riveted when Shonda talked about Katherine leaving on Oprah’s Next Chapter back in 2012! She was so honest, saying it hurt, but honestly, she wasn’t totally shocked. She said something that’s totally stuck with me ever since – she said when people show you who they are, you really need to believe them. It’s like her little life motto, and she said it’s seriously helped her so much! I mean, Shonda is a genius, and that advice is just…everything.

I remember being absolutely shocked when I heard about the fight between Nicki and Cardi at that Harper’s Bazaar party during New York Fashion Week – it was everywhere! Then, a month later, Cardi finally explained what actually started it all, and it was fascinating to hear her side of the story.

Cardi B recently told W magazine that another person has been repeatedly criticizing her. They had talked twice before and seemed to resolve things, but the criticism continued.

The conflict truly escalated when Cardi B noticed Nicki Minaj had supposedly reacted to a tweet criticizing Cardi’s parenting, though Nicki claims she didn’t actually engage with it.

Cardi B explained she turned down a very profitable Bruno Mars tour because she wanted to be with her daughter. She emphasized how much she loves her daughter and considers herself a great mom. She was upset that someone without children would criticize her for enjoying a moment with another artist, saying opportunities like that don’t come along often – you can’t just run into famous people at the store.

The conflict between Kanye West and Taylor Swift began in 2009 when he interrupted her acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards. They later reconciled and became friends, but their relationship fell apart in 2016 after Kanye released his song “Famous,” which mentioned Taylor by name.

Okay, so you will NOT believe this! February 2025, the DAY BEFORE THE GRAMMYS, Kanye… Kanye only followed Taylor on Instagram. Just HER. He didn’t say a WORD about it, didn’t explain anything, and honestly, Taylor hasn’t even acknowledged it publicly yet! I’ve been checking her page constantly, of course. It’s EVERYTHING. I swear, they’re sending signals, I just KNOW it!

“I don’t know her.”

The rumored rivalry between Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez began with a 2003 television interview in Germany. When asked about Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey famously stated, “I don’t know her.”
