Kendra Duggar Can’t See Her 4 Kids for a Month, Says Anna Duggar

Kendra Duggar won’t see her kids for a few weeks, according to her sister-in-law Anna Duggar.

Anna Duggar, wife of Joseph Duggar, has reportedly been separated from her four children for about a month. This follows her arrest and subsequent release on charges of child endangerment and false imprisonment on March 20th, according to an email obtained by TopMob News from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office in Arkansas.

On March 21st, Anna messaged her brother-in-law, Joseph—who had been arrested on March 18th for allegedly abusing a child during a 2020 Florida vacation—about what happened after she spoke with Kendra on the phone regarding Kendra’s recent arrest.

Anna shared in an email that the other person seemed confident during their phone conversation, but became visibly upset when discussing how long it would be before she could see her children. Anna added that she felt deeply sorry for everyone involved.

The 37-year-old also mentioned Kendra’s determination to fight the accusations against her, saying, “I’m confident she’ll be successful eventually, though it could be a lengthy process.”

Anna, whose husband Josh Duggar is in prison for 12 years after being convicted of possessing child pornography, complimented Kendra on how well she was handling her own difficult circumstances.

The mother of seven went on to say she was incredibly impressed by the young woman’s clear thinking, especially considering the difficult circumstances. She added that she knew the young woman cared for her son very much.

Joseph, who is dealing with the same legal issues as Kendra in Arkansas, expressed his gratitude for her support and shared details about his time in solitary confinement.

He shared in an email on March 21st that even though he’s in solitary confinement, receiving a Bible has helped him stay positive. He added that a recent encouraging message meant a lot to him.

TopMob has contacted the Tontitown Police Department in Arkansas for information about Kendra’s case, but they haven’t received a response yet.

While Joseph was in jail in Arkansas, Kendra often talked to him on the phone about how difficult it was being away from her children.

She told her husband she’s focused on her children and their well-being is her top concern, according to audio recordings obtained by People. In another conversation, she mentioned hearing that the kids were doing well.

Neither Kendra nor Joseph have entered a plea regarding their charges in Arkansas.

Joseph entered a plea of not guilty on March 31st to charges of sexual misconduct with a minor. He was released from custody after posting a $600,000 bond, but the judge ordered him to stay away from the alleged victim and all other children.

Joseph Duggar‘s parents broke their silence in a statement on March 30.

A Duggar family spokesperson told Us Weekly that Jim Bob and Michelle are deeply saddened by everything that’s happening. They are currently prioritizing supporting their family, especially Kendra and her children, as they go through this challenging period.

The couple’s spokesperson said they are thinking of the victim and asked for privacy during this difficult time. They are grateful for the support and prayers they’ve received.

On March 19th, we were surprised to hear about the arrest of Jill’s brother, Joseph Duggar. We found out through a friend who sent us a text about news reports claiming Joseph confessed to sexually abusing a young girl in 2020. We are both shocked and deeply saddened by this news.

Derick and Jill, who shared their experiences with the family in the 2023 book Counting the Cost, stated they firmly denounce abuse.

Josh is deeply aware of the damage that false accusations can cause, his lawyer explained to the Daily Mail on March 20th. He personally understands how being falsely accused can ruin someone’s life and how public attention can distort the truth, turning it into a dramatic, but untrue, story.

The attorney stated that Josh, who is currently serving a 12-year prison sentence for child pornography, doesn’t communicate often with Joseph, but wishes his brother well and is praying for him during this challenging period.

Jana and her husband shared on Instagram that they were devastated to learn about the situation involving her brother, Joseph. They said the news was completely unexpected and they hadn’t known anything about it beforehand.

We are deeply saddened by the harm done to this child, and we condemn this terrible act. Our thoughts are with the victim, and we hope justice will be served.

The couple, married this year, expressed their outrage at the shocking behavior of his brother, Joseph.

Jason and Maddie released a statement on Instagram on March 26th, saying they were deeply shocked, confused, and saddened by recent news. While they were personally affected, they expressed greater concern for the child whose life has been devastated by these harmful acts, emphasizing that no one should ever harm someone vulnerable.

Maddie and I have always cared deeply about protecting those who are vulnerable, and that will never change,” their message continued. “The idea that someone would use their power to harass others is truly disgusting.

My heart goes out to everyone affected by this tragedy. We’re all praying for the victim – a truly brave person – and for Joseph’s family during this incredibly difficult time. It’s just heartbreaking to think about his children having to grow up without their father, someone who should have been a guiding light in their lives.

Joy-Anna shared on Instagram on March 26th that she was devastated by the recent news about her brother. She expressed her sympathy for the victim and said she’s been deeply upset and taking time to cope with the situation.

She added, “I will be taking some much-needed time with my family.”

On the March 25th episode of The Jinger & Jeremy Podcast, Jeremy shared that they had a challenging week as they worked through and prayed about something. He said it was difficult for them to process and discuss on the podcast.

Okay, so Jinger… my Jinger! She and Jeremy moved to LA back in 2019, and honestly, hearing her talk about this week just destroyed me. She said she didn’t even know her heart could break like this, and it’s just… ugh. The pain they’re going through, and the fact that it’s affected so many people… it’s just unimaginable! It’s so incredibly hard and painful to even think about, on so many levels. I just feel so bad for her!

“It’s incredibly difficult,” she said. “When something like this happens, all you can do is pray for strength and help, because you can’t possibly be ready to hear such devastating news.”

In a statement to People magazine on March 20, Joseph’s cousin expressed profound sadness, anger, and disgust. They said their primary concern was for the young victim, who should have been safe, cared for, and surrounded by trustworthy people.

Amy explained she was “utterly shocked to hear about these allegations and Joseph’s arrest.”

I’ve always believed in honesty, taking responsibility for your actions, and keeping children safe, even if it meant disagreeing with my own family. Protecting children is so important that family relationships shouldn’t automatically guarantee trust or access.
