Recently, Kevin Feige revealed if characters such as Moon Knight and the Eternals might reappear in upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) ventures. As Marvel Studios prepares for Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars, fans have been curious about the future of Moon Knight and the Eternals within the MCU. At present, Marvel is busy with the upcoming release of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which is slated for July 25.

Kevin Feige gives positive update on Eternals and Moon Knight’s return

Recently, the leader of Marvel Studios held a talk at the Marvel Studios headquarters in Burbank, discussing the highly anticipated comeback of characters such as Moon Knight and the Eternals.

As I sat in the cinema after watching the latest Marvel blockbuster, I couldn’t help but wonder if my favorite characters would make a comeback. During the post-premiere Q&A session, reporters grilled the filmmakers about whether we’d see more of Clea (played brilliantly by Charlize Theron), Starfox (the captivating Harry Styles), Hercules (Brett Goldstein, who brought new life to this classic hero), and Mephisto (Sacha Baron Cohen, who delivered a chilling performance).

As a movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that Marvel mastermind Kevin Feige hinted at familiar faces reappearing in future films. He didn’t drop specific names, but he confirmed that characters introduced post-“Endgame” will make a comeback in some upcoming movies and beyond. The excitement of the comics lies in the unpredictability of who might show up where, and I can hardly wait to see these surprises unfold on the silver screen!

Among fans following the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Moon Knight, portrayed by Oscar Isaac, has become a fan favorite since Avengers: Endgame. The character made his first appearance within this universe via the Disney+ series Moon Knight, which was released in March 2022. Contrastingly, the Eternals were introduced through Chloé Zhao’s film of the same name, which hit theaters in November 2021.

During the gathering, Feige revealed that Avengers: Secret Wars would lay the groundwork for fresh starts within the MCU. Notably, this plan involves reprising some of the X-Men characters featured in Doomsday and Secret Wars.

The veteran producer stated that they are using the story not only to complete the narratives established after ‘Endgame’, but also to prepare for what’s coming next. To get a sense of where this leads, look at the ‘Secret Wars’ comics. Essentially, ‘Endgame’ was focused on conclusions, whereas ‘Secret Wars’ is about new beginnings. Kevin Feige described it as a reset for the “single timeline.” (via Variety)
