Khloe Kardashian Denies Claims She Let Ex Tristan Thompson “Back in”

Khloe Kardashian is helping fans keep up with her relationship status. 

Khloé Kardashian recently responded to speculation about getting back together with her ex, Tristan Thompson. They separated in late 2021 but continue to raise their two children, True, age 7, and Tatum, age 3, together.

Khloé recently addressed the question of whether she’s rekindled her relationship with Tristan. On her podcast, she explained that while they aren’t back together, Tristan remains a present and involved father to their children, and she appreciates that. She clarified, ‘Tristan is not back in [my life],’ but he’ll always be around for their kids.

She shared that she admires his close bond with his children, calling it a wonderful thing. She emphasized that she would never interfere with that relationship and believes it’s crucial for them to stay close.

Khloe and Tristan have maintained a close co-parenting relationship, with Tristan frequently stopping by to put their children, True and Tatum, to bed since he lives nearby. Despite ending their romantic relationship in 2021 after a couple of years together, they both agree his visits should focus solely on the kids and he leaves once they’re asleep.

I was so glad to hear her say they really want to stick to this cooperative way of doing things, not just now, but for all future events – things like the kids’ birthdays and even True starting school. It’s reassuring to know they’re committed to keeping things peaceful and focused on the children.

The Khloud founder appreciates their successful co-parenting relationship, but admits it wasn’t easy to rebuild after her partner’s infidelity. She personally spent a significant amount of time in therapy and focused on healing at her own speed.

I don’t have romantic feelings for Tristan, so his presence doesn’t bother me. He’s just a friend – we exchange pleasantries like ‘How’s it going?’ and he’s nice to the kids. It’s all very relaxed, and I think that’s thanks to the personal work I’ve been doing on myself.

Khloe didn’t deal with Tristan’s past cheating on her own. Her sister, Kylie Jenner, who shares two children – 7-year-old Stormi and 3-year-old Aire – with Travis Scott, also helped her see a positive side to trusting him again.

On a recent podcast episode featuring Khy founder Kylie, the host explained that Kylie played a big part in helping her feel confident and comfortable about having her child, Tatum. Kylie pointed out that Tatum was only six months younger than Aire, which reassured her.

Kylie also gave her older sister some words of wisdom at the time. 

Khloe remembered being upset and questioning why something was happening again, but the other person responded by saying everything happens for a reason and that God has a plan. They pointed out a positive side – that their sons would have the chance to grow up together.
