Khloe Kardashian Reveals When She’ll Let Her Kids Go on Social Media

Khloe Kardashian is keeping up with her kids’ digital footprint. 

Khloé Kardashian, the founder of Good American and mother to True, 7, and Tatum, 3, with her ex, Tristan Thompson, recently shared her thoughts on when her children should be allowed to join social media.

As a firm believer in protecting kids, I completely agree with what Khloe said on her podcast recently. She feels, and I do too, that children at this age simply aren’t ready for social media or the internet in general. It’s best to shield them from all of that for as long as possible.

The 41-year-old mom has talked about potentially buying her daughter new technology soon.

I told my daughter we could talk about her getting a phone when she turns twelve. But just because she might get a phone doesn’t mean she’ll be allowed on social media. I think kids are too young for social media until they’re sixteen or seventeen, but we’re open to discussing a phone when she’s twelve.

For now, the mom of two revealed that her kids also don’t have access to any search engines.

The Kardashians star explained that her children don’t have access to the internet at all. They don’t use Google or any similar services.

Because her little ones are unplugged, they’re also out of the loop about their mama’s fame status. 

Khloe explained that people often don’t realize she’s famous because she doesn’t act like it or talk about it. She and her family simply don’t discuss her celebrity status.

Since True and Tatum have grown up on their family’s reality TV shows, they’re used to being filmed – it’s completely normal for them.

Khloe explained that people aren’t questioning them much because they understand the family films a TV show. However, since those people haven’t actually watched the show, Khloe doesn’t think they fully grasp what it’s like to be on it.

She explained that, similar to how everyone records things on their phones now, people don’t bother asking for details. She doesn’t feel the need to announce things like their show being number one on Hulu or give a full explanation of what’s happening.

And getting their picture snapped around Calabasas is just another day as a Kardashian kid. 

She explained that every member of their family is constantly followed by paparazzi. It’s just a normal part of their lives, even though it seems odd, and they’ve become used to it.

As for Khloe’s explanation regarding how she’s so well-known?

She explains to her children that she’s kind and treats everyone with respect, and that’s the reason to be good – not because of any fame or status she might have.
