Kim Kardashian Says “Unsettling Feeling” Led to Kanye West Divorce

Almost three years after finalizing her divorce from Kanye West, the reality star revealed how his mental health challenges were the main reason for their separation after six years of marriage.

Kim Kardashian explained on the October 15th episode of the *Call Her Daddy* podcast that she couldn’t tolerate certain behaviors. She disliked the idea of someone speaking negatively about her children’s family – their grandmother, aunts, and others – and felt that if someone held those views, a relationship wouldn’t work.

She remembered a story about the rapper, who revealed he had bipolar disorder in 2016, reportedly buying five Lamborghinis and giving them away while experiencing a mental health crisis.

She described a strange pattern: she’d return home to find everyone had left, only to come back later and discover several more Lamborghinis had appeared. But then, as if it were all a dream, she’d ‘wake up’ to find everyone gone again, repeating the cycle.

Honestly, one of the hardest parts was just not knowing what each day would bring. It created this constant sense of unease, and I realized I really crave stability in my life. That lack of predictability was a huge issue for me.

Kim Kardashian, who has four children – North, 12, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6 – with her ex-husband, Kanye West, revealed she felt unsafe, both emotionally and financially, during their marriage.

TopMob News has reached out to reps for West for comment and has not yet heard back.

The Grammy-winning artist continued to battle mental health issues throughout the relationship, and their spouse, age 44, described how challenging it was to support them through those difficult times.

As a lifestyle expert, I often see people struggling with relationships where one person isn’t prioritizing their well-being. It’s natural to want to be there for someone and help them improve, but it’s incredibly difficult – and ultimately damaging – to stay in a relationship when the other person refuses to make positive changes. It creates a really unhealthy dynamic, and sometimes, you have to recognize that for your own sake.

As the celebrity explained, having children complicated things further, making it more difficult for Kardashian to create distance from West, who is 48 years old.

Kim Kardashian shared that once you have children, walking away from a relationship becomes much more difficult than staying. She explained that having kids fundamentally alters everyone involved, and you need to be patient and observe whether things will improve over time.

She explained that when you reach a point where things seem hopeless and unlikely to improve, you need to make some difficult decisions. Accepting that situation is incredibly challenging, she added.

Kardashian, however, added that it was her kids who also pushed her to take the next step.

She explained that she needed to prioritize her own well-being so she could be the best mother possible. She believes her children will understand her choices when they are older and realize why she made them.
