Kimora Lee Simmons’ Husband Files for Divorce Amid Prison Sentence

Kimora Lee Simmons and her husband Tim Leissner are parting ways legally.

Roger Ng’s divorce papers were signed by his ex-wife, a former Goldman Sachs banker named Tim Leissner, just two days before Leissner began a two-year prison sentence in February. Court records show the divorce was officially filed on April 20, according to TopMob News.

Roger Leissner, husband of Kimora Lee Simmons since March 2014, cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ when filing for divorce after 12 years of marriage.

He asked for shared custody of his 11-year-old son, Wolfe, and requested financial support from the founder of Baby Phat. He also wants the court to end any alimony payments to Lee Simmons.

TopMob News has reached out to Lee Simmons’ rep for comment but hasn’t heard back.

Roger Leissner finalized his divorce on February 4th. His lawyer, Henry Mazurek, confirmed to Bloomberg that Leissner, age 56, turned himself in to a federal prison in Pennsylvania on February 6th.

Leissner is scheduled to be released on Sept. 29, 2027, per prison records reviewed by TopMob News.

Last year, during his sentencing, Leissner apologized for his role in the 1MDB scandal. U.S. officials believe $4.5 billion was stolen from this Malaysian state fund, which was originally created to boost the country’s economy.

He apologized to the people of Malaysia, telling the court he was truly sorry for what he had done, according to Reuters.

Lee Simmons, age 50, hasn’t spoken publicly about her ex-partner’s legal issues. However, the designer – who has two adult daughters with her first husband, Russell Simmons, and a teenage son with ex Djimon Hounsou – hinted at their split in a December interview with TopMob News, stating she’s experienced many changes in her life, including jobs, careers, husbands, and investments.

“I am a boy mom. I was a girl mom,” she continued. “It’s life.”
