King of the Hill’s Revival is Still Hitting Big on Streaming As Fans Wait on Season 15

For years, fans hoped for a revival of *King of the Hill*, cherishing the characters of Hank, Peggy, and Bobby Hill. Almost ten years after the original series ended, co-creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels brought Arlen, Texas back to life. The fourteenth season features an adult Bobby, as well as older versions of Hank, Peggy, and other beloved characters, and has proven to be a major success for Hulu. Even after its first week, the show continues to perform very well on the streaming platform.

New episodes of *King of the Hill* premiered on Hulu on August 4th and quickly became a hit, consistently ranking among the platform’s top five original shows. As of the week of August 18th to 24th, the show held the number four spot with around 567,000 minutes viewed. It was surpassed by *Wednesday* on Netflix, *The Summer I Turned Pretty* on Amazon Prime Video, and *America’s Team: The Gambler and His Cowboys* on Netflix.

What Next For The Hills?

Although Hulu hasn’t officially announced it, Vulture previously reported that a fifteenth season of *King of the Hill* was not only planned but already filmed. Currently, the details of these new episodes and their release date on the streaming service are unknown. However, the most recent season does offer some clues about what might happen next in Arlen.

A major focus of the upcoming seasons of *King of the Hill* will likely be the developing romance between Bobby and Connie. They reconnected as friends at the start of the revival, and quickly decided to try dating. However, as often happens with Bobby, things didn’t go smoothly – their first dates were full of mishaps that felt like bad luck. Despite these challenges, Connie and Bobby are still trying to make their relationship work.

Hank and Peggy Hill are still adjusting to life after retirement. Hank, who always threw himself into work – especially his job with propane – is now searching for new hobbies to keep busy. He’s certainly finding interesting ways to spend his time; the latest season even shows him unexpectedly falling for soccer!
