For months, there have been whispers about a remastered version of the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance. This comes after the highly-rated Kingdom Come: Deliverance II launched last year and significantly improved upon the first game. A remaster could polish up the original and bring it more in line with the quality of the sequel.
It’s looking very likely that a PlayStation version of Kingdom Come: Deliverance is coming soon. A listing on the PlayStation Europe store is a strong indication, even without an official announcement. Here’s what players can expect when the game is released on PlayStation.
Deliver Me Those Textures
The PlayStation Store description for Kingdom Come: Deliverance in the U.K., etc. has been updated with information about an unannounced PS5 version—4K, improved frame rate, high-res textures, and more: store.playstation.com/en-gb/produc… Gematsu page: www.gematsu.com/games/kingdo…

A description for the remastered version of Kingdom Come: Deliverance recently appeared on the online store, as noted by Sal Romano of Gematsu. Gematsu’s post on Bluesky shared the full details, and here’s a summary of what’s coming.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance on PS5 has been enhanced with stunning visual improvements. Players can now experience the game in 4K resolution with a smoother framerate and more detailed textures, making medieval Bohemia look better than ever before.
That little bit of alliteration was a nice touch. Let’s look at the details, though. 4K resolution is great, and a better framerate will likely be the biggest improvement. If they can consistently hit 60 frames per second, that would be fantastic. The textures seem a bit dated, though the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance didn’t need the extreme detail of something like the Final Fantasy VII Remake. And when they say “many more” improvements, it’s hard to know exactly what that means until we see the final product.
Last December, a Reddit user named bertik11 reiterated their belief that Kingdom Come: Deliverance will be updated to run on current-generation consoles, likely including the Xbox Series X|S. They cautioned that this update will probably be a straightforward port from the PC version, rather than a major overhaul with significant new features.

Okay, I’ll accept whatever I can. It’s hard to say if that rumor is connected to this obvious marketing mistake, but it seems probable.
