Inti Creates has shared a new trailer, details, and screenshots for their upcoming game, Kingdom’s Return: Time-Eating Fruit and the Ancient Monster. The new content explains how the game works and how players will progress.

■ Kingdom’s Return: Time-Eating Fruit and the Ancient Monster

In Kingdom’s Return, you’ll explore vibrant 2D worlds as you gather resources and rebuild a ruined kingdom. The game combines action RPG exploration with city-building strategy, letting you design your city and strengthen your characters along the way.

Pick one of four unique characters – the Imperial, Alchemist, Wizard, or Zipangu – and embark on an action-packed adventure! Gather resources along the way to develop your kingdom by constructing buildings that enhance your characters’ abilities. Then, continue exploring increasingly challenging levels until you become a force to be reckoned with, even for the toughest bosses.

■ Gameplay Details

To solve the mystery behind the kingdom’s ruin, take on missions and set off for adventure!

As you journey through the world, you’ll encounter monsters. You can choose to steer clear of them, or actively fight them. Defeating these monsters will reward you with materials that you can bring back to your kingdom.

As you defeat enemies, you’ll gain experience points and level up your adventurer. Leveling up improves your stats, making you more powerful! You’ll also earn Class Points (CP) to unlock new skills within your Class Circle.

Succeed on your mission, and you can take your hard earned materials home with you safely.

During the game, you’ll use the resources you collect to rebuild structures and bring your kingdom back to its former glory. As you rebuild and go on adventures, your characters will become more powerful, even if you start with very little.

Complete missions to level up and unlock exciting new adventures! The way you develop your kingdom and help its people will actually affect the story’s outcome, leading to different endings.

The game Kingdom’s Return: Time-Eating Fruit and the Ancient Monster will be released on April 23rd for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, Switch, and PC (through Steam).
