A rather awkward Stark family reunion is coming to the silver screen.
Kit Harington recently shared his experience working with Sophie Turner on their new movie, The Dreadful. They previously played on-screen siblings in Game of Thrones, and now they share a romantic connection in the film.
Kit explained to TopMob News, “She’s the one who sent me that movie, but she didn’t pick up on what I did. I immediately thought, ‘These characters are clearly in love,’ and it struck me as strange that she didn’t see it the same way.”
The 38-year-old actor said filming romantic scenes in the horror movie felt strange, and it wasn’t just because of their existing close relationship as siblings.
He jokingly admitted it was a little awkward having to stand on an apple box to reach her for a kiss, since she’s a foot taller than him. Otherwise, he said he managed to maintain his composure.
Despite everything, Kit was happy to work with Sophie again, especially since he and his wife, Rose Leslie, share two young children – a 4-year-old son and a 2-year-old daughter.
He stressed how great it was to reconnect with her and collaborate. He especially enjoyed how their friendship instantly rekindled when they started working together, making the whole experience feel like being with family.
Kit’s not only exploring a new romance with Sophie, 29, but he’s also joined Mark Wahlberg in the cast of The Family Plan 2, bringing a fresh dynamic to the film.

He described working with Mark as wonderful, adding that he’s always been impressed by Mark’s career. He especially admired Mark’s ability to stay successful and professional throughout the years, calling him a true inspiration.
Working with him on set was intimidating at first,” he said. “Especially since our first scene together was a fight, which felt really challenging. But he was incredibly kind and welcoming – he’s a genuinely lovely person.
Mark, 54, was delighted to collaborate with Kit, describing him as “amazing and wonderful” in an interview with TopMob alongside his The Family Plan co-star, Michelle Monaghan.
