Has any publisher won back-to-back Players’ Choice awards on the PS Blog before?
We won’t go into all the details of how fans voted, but it probably didn’t happen.
Konami continues its winning streak, building on the positive reception of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater in August with the release of Silent Hill F in September.
The survival horror game was actually quite a bit more popular in the poll, earning nearly 50% of votes from active PlayStation players. Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter came in second, receiving around 34%.
While many are excited about Hollow Knight: Silksong, it only received around 10% of the votes in our poll. This left other games, like Borderlands 4 and Sonic Racing CrossWorlds, to compete for the majority of the support.
This poll on the PlayStation Blog isn’t official, but it shows how much fans are enjoying Konami’s recent games. It’s great to see the company’s hard work paying off after a period of struggling to connect with players.
We’re feeling optimistic about Konami’s future. It wasn’t long ago that they seemed to be leaving the gaming industry, so this recent news is definitely a good sign.
Also, the publisher is poised to win another award on Push Square, following Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater being named our Game of the Month for August. We’ll be revealing September’s winner very soon.
