JETMAN has confirmed that Kowloon’s Gate: Suzaku is coming to the Nintendo Switch. Originally announced in December 2019, a limited physical edition will be funded through a Campfire crowdfunding campaign starting November 11th.
Kowloon’s Gate: Suzaku is an updated version of Kowloon’s Gate VR: Suzaku, originally released for PlayStation VR in Japan on October 26, 2017. A free update later brought it to standard PlayStation 4 consoles on December 21, 2017.
The Switch version of the game, simply called without the ‘VR’ designation, will have improved graphics, new areas to explore, and extra quests. One of these quests will connect to the story of the original 1997 PlayStation game, Kowloon’s Gate.
JETMAN plans to use what they learn from releasing the game on Nintendo Switch to remake the classic Kowloon’s Gate. They see this crowdfunding campaign as the initial step in bringing that remake to life.
