The movie KPop Demon Hunters is becoming incredibly popular, and that popularity is extending to merchandise like collectibles and toys. Since its debut on Netflix in June, companies like American Girl, Funko, and Mattel have all started creating their own versions of the characters from the movie’s girl group, HUNTR/X. Now, Squishmallows is joining the fun! And in my opinion, they’ve made some of the best plushies available – they’re cute, comfortable, and incredibly soft. Squishmallows started by making animal-themed plushies, but they’ve expanded to include characters from popular culture, which is why I’m so excited that the KPop Demon Hunters pets, Derpy and Sussie, are getting their own Squishmallow versions. They’re reasonably priced too, at $19.99 and $15.99 respectively.
BUY DERPY SQUISHMALLOW
I recommend getting both plushies if you can! But if you have to pick just one, the medium-sized Derpy has a bit more detail than the small Sussie, although you can easily tell who both of them are. You can find the 12-inch Derpy and the 8-inch Sussie on Amazon, and both are scheduled to ship on July 16, 2026.
KPop Demon Hunters Sequel is Officially Confirmed
Good news for fans of HUNTR/X, Derpy, and Sussie! Netflix and Sony Pictures Animation are making a second movie, with Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans returning as directors, according to a Bloomberg report from December. While it won’t be released until 2029, we’re confident the animation team will create something truly special.
In a recent interview, director Maggie Kang emphasized the team’s commitment to making a worthy sequel, stating they have plenty of stories left to tell and want to deliver something fans will truly enjoy. Given the success and recent Oscar attention the first film has received, the sequel faces significant expectations and will need to be exceptional to avoid disappointing audiences.
We’ve been waiting patiently, and we’re thrilled it’s finally on the way! Everyone loves discovering new songs to enjoy, and we can’t wait for more funny moments with Rumi, Mira, Zoey, Derpy, and Sussie. 2029 will arrive quickly!
